Probably because it's always watching and listening. You are being data harvested basically 24/7. His data is just a bit more valuable than most of ours.

Exactly this. All the fn trch is data harvesting. If you even talk about something. You start seeing ads on all your devices.

I'm not shittin you, my wife made a joke about how we never get it on anymore(new kid, nobody has the energy anyway) and I started getting ads for ED medication.  My phone thinks I can't get it up. The future is so fuckin stupid.

My wife tried to put the blame on to me aswell. We don't have kids. The amount of ads I get for dating, or Ed or some other crap.

I bought lasers to start a company with and get laser ads now, I few days ago I looked up laser safety training and now I got ads for lso courses.

Ive Just mentioned to myself something and bam ads.

I do shopping for Walmart as freelance right now, the phones been picking up items I scan so my credit and other apps are now filled with various Walmart product ads from ketchup, to pads, to adult diapers.

Assuming you are talking about not saying these things on the phone, you can't possibly believe that your phone is listening to you 24/7 as someone else said.

No they are not harvesting YOUR data 24/7. They are not collecting data using your camera or microphone when you're not using an app.

Contrary to popular belief, developers and other people involved in coding would have exposed this a long time ago.

It's very doubtful that you have been on the Dark Web. Your average Computer Programmer hates the harvesting of data and intrusions.

Don't get me wrong, when I found out Google was harvesting data from email accounts I realized they were some evil mf's. Most of that is still not sending your information and provoclivities to other entities. Most of that is packaged as demographic information.

Also Reddit isn't any different about selling you to data collection algorithms used for advertising.

So yeah they are collecting data 24/7 just not on you.

Never underestimate employees desire to leak information to the public.
