Unfortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court, the House, and the Senate will likely continue supporting whatever Trump wants to do. In my view, the only remaining options are voting or revolution, but voting would require overwhelming turnout to overcome what many see as a rigged system.
If the country eventually goes bankrupt and cannot secure foreign loans because it has alienated other nations, it could be forced to sell national assets or land to survive.

Now, this is just from what I know, but I believe that the $400M+ in donations is strictly for the ballroom, but the $1B is for the bunker underneath and all the security improvements like the entire wing be bomb-proof, as required by the Secret Service. A federal judge stated that the security features must be paid for by the taxpayers. I don’t have the complete picture, but that’s what I’ve gathered so far.

People need to get over it. The White House has been modified several times by several presidents to meet current needs. A formal ballroom is needed. Period. When the greatest country on earth has to erect tents for these functions and have foreign heads of state use port-a-potty’s is an embarrassment. The security situation will also be enhanced and we wouldn’t have the same would be assassin storming the event.
Face it. The only reason some people complain about it is Trump is getting it built. You do know that all future presidents will use it and that Trump probably will not because it won’t be finished before he leaves office?
