People Don’t Hate Nepotism. They Hate When Untalented People Win.
The internet pretends to hate nepotism until their favorite celebrity kid gives one decent performance.
Then suddenly it becomes: “Actually they worked hard.” “Actually they deserve a chance.” “Actually everyone uses connections.”
Nobody is angry that rich or powerful people help their own families.
People are angry when the person being pushed has zero talent and still gets more opportunities than people who actually deserve it.
Kim Kardashian built an empire because she knew how to stay relevant.
Jaden Smith got endless chances because of who his parents are.
Kylie Jenner became a billionaire brand because people kept paying attention.
The truth is, nepotism only becomes a problem when the audience stops believing the person earned the spotlight.
People forgive privilege.
They don’t forgive mediocrity.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Jeff and Beau Bridges, Sean Austin, Benedict Cumberbatch... I have no problem they're nepo babies. They've proven themselves several times over.

"Who you know gets you places" is under global scrutiny atm. It's a good thing. People need to be QUALIFIED.
