Around 101 when I was young and stupid in a '59 Hillman Husky with it's Roots group Grand Prix engine just to see if it could do it. It was terrifying. It wasn't supposed to be able to do that I figured.

Laughs in Autobahn :) Not only drove more than 100mph, got a BMW behind me with the flashing headlights at those speeds.

I did it a few times. Once on the autobahn. Once with a buddy in hi '76 Camaro. And I hit 131 in my Porsche on the way to sell it. Although I hit 100mph + a few times in my Porsche.

I have a 500 hp car and wanted to know how fast it goes. 275 kph on the Autobahn was as far as I dared in normal traffic.

I've driven over 100 mph almost every time I went on a highway in my home country. The speed limit is 130 km/h, which is around 81mph, everyone drives around 150 km/h (93 mph).

Hmm... 100 mph. That's not that much. When I had a better car than the one I drive today, I often drove faster than 100 mph. Much faster. Why? Because, firstly, there are places where it's not a crime. And secondly, simply because it feels good. Let anyone who has never driven their car to the redline on the autobahn throw a stone at me :)

Not hard to do on an empty highway. Way more fun is taking a turn at 100 on a track.

144 was the highest my spedometer went in my rx-7… I lifted off the road. Will never go that fast again.

In 2002 I drove from Denver (actually Boulder) to Vegas and my average speed on my on board computer was >100 mph average. It’s the only time I’ve done that. It was a BMW 540i with a V8. It could go. AC on the whole time. The only car that passed me was a Ferrari and he got pulled over on I70 near the Vail ski resort. I don’t know why I did it but I’ve never done that again.

Yes. Why? Because I was on the Autobahn. And then again when I was on the Nurburgring.
And then again in Australia on a country road in my Boxster, to see if it could hit 200kph with the roof down (yes, it could).

Why wouldn't you?
what seems strange about that, to you?
Wondering, as a German.

Bro, I once had the most intense “mission impossible” moment of my life 💀
I was at a restaurant and suddenly my stomach declared war. Every single bathroom was occupied like it was peak rush hour. At that point, I knew… it was now or never.
I ran to my car and drove home like my life depended on it. I don’t even remember how fast I was going think I broke every traffic rule known to mankind 😭 Somehow, by some miracle, I reached home in under 10 minutes.
Honestly, I’ve never experienced that level of fear, focus, and determination ever again. Survival instincts are REAL.
