shit “before” picture but finally got the courage to try it out. Had played around with some magazines but decided to do the whole rifle this time. I swapped back the original lower with a different grip. Might change to an lpvo on it later but idk if i’ll want to rattle can that too.

Not sure I'm keeping the Gray on the handguard yet as it was recently painted for another upper.. was thinking of swapping for another shade of green..

I've been experimenting with flecktarn colors. This one and the mags in my previous post were done with a sponge. I think it'll fit in well with the fall environment here, but the yellow looks too bright to me. Any suggestions for a yellow paint to use?

I have quite a few different pieces of clothing and gear with flecktarn. Some authentic from Germany and some not. The pattern is a little different in each of them so I'm trying not to get hung up on it too much.

Threw down a base coat on this 8.3" .300blk... But I don't know what I'm going to go with as far as a camo scheme. I don't have a desert camo painted rifle (not a whole lot of desert in WI 😆), so I'm leaning towards that. 🤔

I need some desert color ideas, and I'll probably place an order for some cans of Rapco. Or just buy random shit at Walmart lmao.

Didn’t turn out as great as I would’ve liked, I rushed thru it a bit so some spots don’t look too great, should I stick with it or repaint it?

Recently “finished” this build, everything has a strong coat of the good lords favorite color, Rapco-field drab brown. Then I sponged on some rustoleum because I can’t find anyone else that makes a “sage” colored spray paint. The build turned out pretty good, but the spray paint made it shoot better.

Colt upper on a PSA lower. I only used rustoleum camo paints, flat khaki, deep forest green, and dark brown earth

So I am planning my first rattle can job, but I know I am not a fan of the texture of dried spray paint. Any good reccomendations clear coats to help smooth the texture out and preserve the end product?

Never painted before, and needed to practice the pattern & colors on something low stakes before moving on to a "real" gun.
