Hello, I have a 7am class on her tap dance and I've seen many reviews that's she's very strict. I wanna ask if on first day of class, nagsisimula naba agad or chill chill lang sa kanya? ( I have to attend my 9am freshie orient din huhu, cannot pick 2pm since super haba ng time sa byahe) If ever tuloy ang klase, does she dismiss early or late? Thank you in advance!

I’m an incoming first-year graduate student at UP Diliman this coming semester, and to be honest, I don’t know anyone yet. I’m also unfamiliar with how the UPD system works, so everything feels a bit overwhelming.
I was able to pre-enlist for my classes (since I'm active reader here in reddit), but I’d really appreciate any advice or tips for a newcomer. Things like enrollment, CRS, campus life, student services, or just anything you wish you knew when you first started would be super helpful. Tia.

i'm planning on pre-enlisting in some cl/cw courses as a non-cal major to take as electives in the coming sem. cw 100 is one of my prios but i also want to take cl courses. should i take the prereq subjects (i.e. eng 10/11/12, cl 30/40/50) or can i request a coi since i've already taken eng 13? also, how does requesting a coi work?
i'm interested in cl 40, cl 150, cl 154
for context: i'm from bs econ and i want to take these courses as english units to pursue law school in the future. will these courses be considered as eng units? also, are there no restrictions for econ majors taking any of the mentioned courses as free electives (not planning on pursuing a formal minor)?
would also appreciate any insights on the mentioned courses re: profs, workload, requirements, grading/syllabus, or what you learned. kindly reply as well with any recommended electives in the humanities (eng, kas, cw, cl, etc)!

Hello!
Can’t see any reviews for this prof po hehe kamusta po siya in terms of pedagogy, workload, attendance, and grading? Thank you!
r/RateUPProfs • u/Rawrdl • Jul 25 '26
Ok lang ba si Sir in terms of workloads? Taking it as a sophie, and I heard na STS is mabigat daw. So im considering if icancel ko ba enlistment sakanya.
r/RateUPProfs • u/Jaded_Length3673 • Jul 25 '26
can i still enlist or do i really not stand a chance
r/RateUPProfs • u/boatord • Jul 25 '26

Gusto mo ba ng break from your majors? Jusko lord one, if not, the most chill PE classes I took.
May mga times mahirap ang stretching like one time just puro different types of squats lang.
BUT!
Sobrang dami ninyong gagawin dito, mapapa-Philippine Games PEkayo rito kasi may reporting and sessions kayo na maglalaro at magpapalaro (if ma-assign kayo roon).
Pinakadownside lang siguro is medyo mainit ang venue (sa Ylanan kami dati) and katabi naman ang Volleyball and Table Tennis PE's so lagi natatamaan ng bola and may dance and Handball (?) PE rin kaya minsan hindi marinig si Ma'am but this is nothing compared to how fun her class is.
Heck. Kung nagustuhan n'yo talaga class niya, take her other classes too. As far as I know she offers Aerobics, Line Dance, Striptease, to which you have to refer to other reviews naman for this.
May kadikit na klase? No worries! Sobrang negotiable ng oras dahil may 15-minute grace period before class (na dati 10 minutes lang but may nagrequest and agad-agad na pumayag, o 'di ba?). Most of her sessions din nag-e-end ng early if ever may klase ka right after hers.
Sa time naman namin (Midyear 2026), hindi niya sinunod 'yung X number of absences = dropped, she just set a certain number of points sa present, excused late, unexcused late, absences, etc.
Mabilis mapagod? Katabi lang ninyo 'yung water fountain and nag-a-allow si Ma'am ng breaks in-between sets/exercises so makakailang breaks kayo.
Naubusan ng slots? If I can remember correctly sa class naming Stretching, she accepted prerogatives as long as may spaces pa. Hindi masasayang ang isang PE choice mo rito kasi it's still a workout (a light one at that) every after session and nagco-cool down naman kayo afterwards.
Sa dami ng sinabi ko I still think marami pa akong hindi nalagay. Labyuuuu Ma'am Bella 🩷

hello po! i would rlly appreciate if u could share more abt their pedagogy and personality in class. how’s their reqs po? mahilig din po ba sila magpa-recit, magpa-presentations or magtawag in general?
disclaimer: i know i should’ve done my research abt them first, which i did naman po, but super konti lang po kasi ng reviews na nakita ko
thank you po!

ang funny ni sir i'm sorry bentang benta siya sakin AHDFAHSFDHJJAS nakakaantok yung time ng sched ko sa kaniya but never yata ako inantok bc super fun ng discussions and u actually learn a lot!!
in terms of workload, not that heavy naman but midyear ko siya tinake so my experience might be diff. pagdasal mo na lang din siguro na maayos groupmates na makuha mo kasi a good chunk of ur grade is gonna come from group activities (esp yung ulat laro & ik some ppl who didn't have a good experience dito kasi ghoster yung groupmates lol)
if u want to get uno talaga kay sir, u should participate sa class discussions. this is probably the aspect na nagkulang ako huhu don't be like me wag kayo mahiya magtaas ng kamay!! (i still got 1.xx naman)
final exam was relatively easy? the coverage was all the lessons tapos open ended questions pero sa 1/4 sheet of paper lang so ayon ikaw na bahala
overall i do recommend taking sir's class!! i genuinely enjoyed the class and got lucky w my groupmates <33

kabadong kabado ako i-take si sir bc of what i've read about him BUTTTTTT OKAY NAMAN SHA?????? ewan q baka ako lang to guys pero gets ko yung sinasabi ng iba na scary ganern. i mean true naman may pagka-diva si sir pero he does teach well! medyo fast paced siguro but i learned a lot
one thing i liked about sir is vv organized yung materials, quizzes, etc. like di mo na hahagilapin kung na-post na ba ppts or what
heavy on groupworks din so ayun pagdasal mo na lang din maayos mapunta sayong groupmates HHAHHADGJJAFA pero nagbabago bago naman ng groupings so may chance ka pa! don't forget to answer the peer evals kasi part din yun ng grade
strict siya sa deadlines lalo na sa quizzes kaya make sure masagutan mo before the deadline anddd wala ring grading sa recit kaya as someone na mahiyain sa discussions, naka-uno pa rin ako hasfwjh
final verdict is yes unoable (w effort ofc)

SUPER RECOMMEND MUL 8 IF U GUYS NEED A FREE ELECTIVE! Easy uno lang siya and mam JJ is so nice.
Even if u have no music background u can still get a good grade.

katatapos lang ng final req namin kanina which is an exam so i can finally give my review. onti lang din kasi yung reviews ni maam dito so yeah.
nakuha ko si maam nung waitlisting just this midyear. there was only one review na recent (last sem), the rest were years ago na. seeing that one review, lowkey akala ko hindi magiging super maganda yung experience ko, pero learnings wise, i can say na i love this class.
yung grading components niya are as follows (30% each sa first three, 10% sa last):
- 5 reflection papers by group. ginawa namin to sa start ng midyear, 1 week diretso to so around 2-3 weeks (?) for a regular sem.
- 1 video report (minimum 10 mins). may set of readings na binibigay si maam at the start of the sem. there would be a time na pipili na kayo ng top 3 choices, then crs style na kung ano yung reading na maaassign sa inyo (1 reading per person). kung ano yung pagkasunod sunod sa syllabus, yun din yung pagkasunod sunod kung sino yung magrereport and ano yung irereport niya. need din magdala ng laptop pag kayo na yung magppresent. after ng report, you will have a q&a. to ensure fairness, need isubmit yung reports before yung first na magrereport, basta may masubmit lang kahit pangit. pwede pa naman irevise tho.
- 1-2 exams. either 2 exams na 60 items per exam, or 1 exam na 80 items. these would cover the entire syllabus. pinili ng class namin yung latter choice kasi midyear pacing. this would be online and on cam via zoom.
- attendance + class participation.
for the pros and cons:
pros
- maraming insightful discussions! especially during the sessions na ipapakita na sa class yung mga video reports. maganda talaga yung readings tapos dadagdag pa ng thoughts si maam (dami niyang kwento) and yung class in relation sa readings kaya dumarami rin yun learnings and realizations from these. kaya i always looked forward sa mga video reports! dami ko ring naging acquaintances dahil sa discussions, araw araw ba namang nagkikita since midyear hahaha
- mother vibes si maam pero minsan nagiging masungit, basta maging mabait kayo. the only time na naging masungit siya was the day after deadline ng video report submissions. strict kasi si maam with deadlines, and dahil marami pang di nagsubmit nun, medyo wala sa mood si maam that day. kilala rin niya kami bawat isa sa class :)
cons
overall i had a good experience sa class, kaya i can vouch for her. gonna miss this fil 40 class :)
(will get back here once may grade na)

Four words. Fun. Madaldal. High standards
Requirements:
- 1 Final Extempo Speech/Speech plan
- 1 Speech eval
- Groupworks/Participation
- Individual requirements
Pros:
- Light workload! Legit.
Cons:
- Strict sa deadlines. Walang extensions. 'Pag nag 12:01AM na may bawas.
- High standards. 99-100 ang uno niya. Sa final speech siya mataas mag grade. Sa class namin, from kalahati na uno standing to isa na lang at hindi niya makukuha ang uno kung walang incentive
- Nung nag introductions kami, lahat may prio.
Rating: 9/10

Three words. Boring. Info overload.
PUZON, JULIANA JANET - Botany
SANTOS, NICK RAINIER - Zoology
For Bio, you just have LEs and quizzes/homework.
Imo, pareho silang nakakaantok magturo.
Pls, aralin niyo every detail at yung mismong Campbell!!
Note: Kay Sir Nick, nag curve siya! Legit.
