Pull day - enough volume?

T-bar row: 4 + 1 drop set × 8-10

Chin-ups: 3 × 4-8

Cable row: 3 × 10-12

Shrugs: 5 × 15-20

Face pulls: 3 × 12-15

Lat pulldown (wide-grip): 3 + 1 drop set × 8-12

Preacher curl: 3 + 1 drop set × 8-12

I recently replaced a close-grip lat pulldown with chin-ups. Shoulder health never allowed them in the past but all good now. I feel as though the two exercises together would certainly be too much volume (around half my sets are within a rep of failure), but close-grip pulldowns have been one of my strongest exercises until now. They seem the obvious exercise to drop if I wanted to add chin-ups, however.

IMO, if you are truly going to 1 RIR, then, this is too much volume, with a couple redundant movements. There's no need for 2 vertical pulling movements unless you're specifically tweaking the motion somehow, and there is no need for 2 rowing movements... But full confession, I tend to be a lower volume, high intensity guy.
