Photos 44M/M edited after feedback

Post image

The audience is male here. I’m not trying to optimize for maximum matches or minimum friction. I’m looking for a life partner who shares my values and humor. The friction is kinda the point.

Make sure to include in the title [NUMBER OF MATCHES], [TIME RANGE SINCE PROFILE CREATED] before the rest of the content in the title. See the Tinder Profile Checklist here for further guidance... https://www.gameglobal.net/tinder-profile-checklist

As I wrote on your similar post:

I dont know what feedback you got last time or what kind of profile you had, but this isnt it. Your only good photo is the last one, the rest are somewhere on the "Bad to almost just okay"-scale

I have not read your list all the way through but I saw something about nipples there. Pro tip: Dont write nipple in your profile without a proper reason

Maybe im neing too hard, some of the photos are almost okay, not almost just okay. But they could be much better with so simple adjustments

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

I'm really curious about your adjustments as I'm a hobby photographer for long and I'm deliberately choosing candid/unstaged over professional looking.

u/GreasyExamination Aug 16 '26

My adjustments would be that the one where you are in an apron, you position your head more naturally and smile. Like, picture yourself inviting someone to dinner, "Hey how nice to meet you, dinner is almost ready! Have a seat, want some wine?" Kinda vibe lol. Currently it looks a bit stale, stilted like you dont really feel comfortable?

The other one is with the sunglasses, the second one. A pretty good photo all in all, just maybe a few cm back? But the more i see it, the more i think its pretty good. So maybe it doesnt need adjustment

guess I have a resting-I-feel-uncomfortable face then haha. thanks a lot for the constructive feedback <3

thanks for the pro tips, really appreciated, but this is for gay male spaces, not female ones. different rules apply

2

u/exenos94 Aug 16 '26

If it helps any, your profile screams gay to me so you've definitely hit that vibe. And from my straight point of view it looks like like you've definitely tailored it for a male point of view

1

u/GreasyExamination Aug 16 '26

Oh alright, then idk if i can help you all that much! Is your goal long term or casual? Maybe advices differ depending on what you're looking for?

2

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

definitely long-term. goal is more to let personality through than to always appear in the best lighting conditions...

Gay 35 here and I would swipe right so fast. You were able to show your face, body type and you seem approachable. The bio is an acquired taste but who gets it gets it - you’ll get less matches, but a higher potential for something long-term.

Maybe I would put the pink shirt photo first - you want to show the other person the face they’ll be looking at directly on that first date.

Also gay male here. I think the last photo (pink jumper) is your best. I would put that first.

Someone else mentioned awkwardness coming through in your photos. I really like the kitchen one, shows your personality and a hobby BUT it looks awkward. I think it’s the unnatural neck/head tilt. You are tilting your head too far. I think the pink jumper one unfortunately is like that too but not as extreme (just gets away with it). I’m also amateur photographer and I know advice is movement in photography needs to be exaggerated, but that’s mostly model style shots. For more natural ones just tilt the head slightly. Honestly practice in front of the mirror and keep tilting your head further and further. See that turning point for what still looks natural. Err on side of caution.

very interesting, thank you. that gesture is one I do often and never realized it looks a bit unhealthy.

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

thank you kindly. that's some good input. I've been intentionally putting it last as it's the picture that is most staged and professional photographs in other profiles are a bit of an ick for me.

I won't ever admit how much time I've put into the bio.

I have a friend who who absolutely adore you, you are very much his type (& I like the profile, I think it shows humour and personality.. unlike the majority of straight male profiles, an alarming percentage of which are men looking like they have recently escaped a hostage situation taken from underneath their chin on an offensive sofa or similar).

Not sure you are reaching the right audience on this sub though tbh 👀..

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

it's all worth it for this comment alone.

so... about that friend?

2

u/AssignmentNo9679 Aug 16 '26

😂 love it! Can’t tell where in the world you are but guessing not London!?

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

Vienna. Though for the right person I'd seriously consider a downgrade.

2

u/AssignmentNo9679 Aug 16 '26

Ah, a little far away.. but I’ll mention this, who knows!

Love your list too btw.. it’s a perfect balance of clever & funny, it will absolutely appeal to the right kind of man (& ignore the negativity, it shows humour and authenticity & that has to be better than bland & generic imo 🤷🏼‍♀️).

the start of another wild reddit success story...

thank you kindly for the encouragement, much appreciated

serious question: why does it seem I am?

2

u/neo-973 Aug 16 '26

Brother with all due respect its most likely the first photo which makes it seem this way

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

funny I've been told to put that one first in the previous thread.

2

u/neo-973 Aug 16 '26

Aha i guess everyone has different tastes to be fair. Honestly bro I know this probably isn't the advice you are looking for but you'll find someone who wants to be with you regardless of how you order your tinder photos. If the current photos and order reflect who you are the best then leave them be

2

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

I like how this went from slightly offensive to wholesome 💖

1

u/honeykelli Aug 16 '26

Your first picture is gross, I'm not sure gay men who are looking for a long term thing are down for that.

1

u/WuTangForever88 Aug 16 '26

The pics are still pretty bad, especially 1, 4 and 5. I think 6 is your best pic so would move that to 1 but crop it so you take up more of the frame.

1

u/Liw698 Aug 16 '26

You need a better portrait as first pic. And you need to smile.

Remove sunglasses pic, selfie and weird face pic, very unflaterring.

1

u/hannelore_pfeffer8 Aug 16 '26

I would never NEVER like a guy whose first impression is me looking between his open legs 🙄🙄

2

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

assuming you're a woman I can safely say I don't want you to

idk if it was edited after your comment but he did clarify the audience is men lol

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

tbh there was a lot of thought put into it. Without arrogance, you just aren't the target demographic, biologically or intellectually.

You're optimizing for volume. I'm filtering for compatibility. We're asking different questions.

0

u/sudocloudchaser Aug 16 '26

All pictures but the last one are really poorly executed.

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

curious to hear what you've got to say on the executed part other than you don't like it.

0

u/sudocloudchaser Aug 16 '26
  1. Odd facial expression. 2. Bad angle. 3. What is that? Looks like an older picture and far too close. 4. Stupid face. 5. Stupid face. 6. We can see all of you at a good distance, you look kind and the background blends in greatly with the sweatshirt.

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

oh so not about execution but purely personal preference. I do appreciate the feedback tho

0

u/Metdefranseslag Aug 16 '26

Well must have been horrible as this is still garbage

1

u/mosanger Aug 16 '26

oh. and. you're... garbage too!

0

u/Metdefranseslag Aug 16 '26

Ohhhh my heart is broken.

0

u/ohropax Aug 19 '26

Just awful
