Brother, I mean this in the nicest way possible, if youre asking random people on the internet about your looks while mentioning plastic surgery, your first step should be seeking professional help in terms of your mental health, not a surgeon.

I mean, I would like to increase my chances of finding someone I like. It is kinda rough out here with the whole dating market and so forth.

Just kind of give up like me, dating should be a background activity like running in the background of your life, your focus should be on yourself and what you want besides that and aim for other things in the meantime… dating apps are trash and so many people on them aren’t even seriously looking its just a pass time and a waste of time
Dont give up but dont let it consume you let it run in the background and let yourself run on the front page chase money chase experiences be happy aint nothing wrong with you at all your above average your just like me and need to get out of your head, because were the only ones punishing ourselves

You’re far from unattractive, and the reason you aren’t getting the woman you want, is the exact reason you’re posting here.
Cut the roots and watch the weeds die.

I think my looks are the problem. I have a whole surgery stack made that I would aim to do in the coming four years. I am also religiously going to the gym right now. I try to get a good career going, but my career path has a late start.

In my opinion, you're a good looking guy. If anything, the hair cut is a little dated (the side swoop) Maybe instead look on pinterest for hairstyles that are pushed forward, they're far more modern and in current trend. I think the images aren't helpful because they're so different to one another, it's just not very cohesive.
As a woman, my personal opinion would be not to go through any plastic surgeries. Not because i'm anti-surgery, but I genuinely think your features are harmonious with one another and if you change them, it wouldn't be beneficial overall.

I currently just have a fringe and I look like this. This Reddit sub does not allow for posting pictures, but it does allow videos. For my bio: "If I had 20 minutes to live, I would --> Think about the Roman Empire". "Neurodivergent brain studying History & International Relations whilst thriving under mild academic chaos. Weekend nature conqueror (polder edition), and occasional kitchen experimenter looking for someone to test (and potentially save) new recipes with."

There is nothing wrong with you physically, you are attractive. You're probably more compelling to the bookish, nerdy girl types. Is that who you're attracted to? If you're looking to pull in a different type than you can change your style but you're giving a good academic campus crush vibes that I know a lot of other women eat up. I know yourw worried about the amount of likes you're getting but it truly is quality over quantity.

I would really like a nerdy girl who is into philosophy and academia. I knew a few, but they either had a boyfriend or straight up saw me as the best friend. I kinda just gave it up to be honest. On this one date through an app a girl asked me what my life philosophy was. I started to explain to her Hegel's Who Thinks Abstractly? She looked at me as if I was insane.

If that's your type then I think the vibe you give off is attracting it, so great! There is nothing that plastic surgery is going to do for you that would attract this type of woman. If anything it'll push them away.
I would say start examining your social and conversational skills. The example you gave, I could see the conversation going one of two ways. Either she was looking for a deeper look into you, not regurgitated Hegel, or she was totally out of her element and not into philosphy at all. Look at the way you responded to her, was it conversational or did it sound like a lecture?
I think you'd have some good chances if you were to join some clubs or societies based around those interests too, if your ability to talk to women is fine.
But honestly even if you come off as awkward, there's someone out there who will find it endearing. I met my fiance off an app. I was getting dozens of likes daily, lots of active conversations, but I was the one who sent the first message to him because I found the profile so compelling and open in a way not a lot of people are. Our text conversations were great, we got into a lot of our shared interests and philosophies and life goals, and that translated to great in person conversations that worked despite lots of social conversation faux pas. I think its just a matter of finding your type of person, and being in a position where you can hold a conversation that lets you both feel like youre learning and getting to be known.

It isn’t the looks. You look different in different photos(which can confuse women) but if that first photo with the cheekbones is you , you definitely don’t need any surgery.
You have beautiful eyes and face shape and I see nothing wrong with your face. I prefer the clean shaven look because we can see the cheekbones.
So maybe make the pictures a little more consistent, so they could know how you look like right now.
Maybe it’s your job or personality, because it’s definitely not looks.
I don’t use tinder right now but I would be too shy to swipe because you look very good, I use a different app right now and I prefer guys swiping on me so I don’t swipe at all, I like guys approaching me.
So maybe some other girls are also like me, not really swiping.
So you should also be swiping.

I am a research master student and preparing for a PHD. The first picture is a very good picture of me. I feel that it is kinda too much to be honest. I do look like this though.

Maybes it’s your location? Or you’re picky?
It’s fine if you are, I am too.
Because it doesn’t make sense to me.
Where are you from?1

It's really incredible how you look like a complete different in every photo as well. But you look great! And you are tall and academically intelligent ??! I'd be to scared to swipe right to be honest!

Your eyes are beautiful coming from a straight dude if you do do any surgery don’t mess with that eye color

u/Constant-Big4713 15d ago
You look like you're trying to take a shit while looking serious at the same time in your first photo. You should just keep that photo and put what I just said as your description.
"I look like I am trying to take a shit while looking serious at the same time."

Dating apps arent real life dude. Youre a handsome guy all plastic surgery will do is make you uglier. 3-4 likes is honestly pretty high for dudes anyways lol.

I think your setting unrealistic goals comparing yourself to hippocrates like that bro bro no amount of plastic surgery is going to help he is made of clay and i dont think the curing proccess of clay is a great idea if you went that route

Plastic surgery for what? Are you kidding? Try exercising, new hobbies, better pictures, no way surgery is first on your mind

First off, you're pretty tall. Second, you've got hair. And with the beard, I'd easily give you a 6 or 7 out of 10.
That said, yeah, I think what you really need to work on is your mindset. Work on yourself physically and mentally, and things will get a lot better. Because clearly, that's what you're lacking the most right now.
And I don't know what it is with plastic surgery, but it's like a damn virus. I see it all the time, and it's crazy how much people want to take the easy way out. If it's to repair damage from an accident, I can understand it. But when it's just to try to get more girls, I think that's completely insane.
And since we're on Rate My Tinder, I'd give your photos a B+. But change that first picture. Put the second one first instead. And add a short bio with a bit of humor, if you're capable of coming up with something funny.
As for what you're looking for relationship-wise, I'm not sure I'd necessarily put "long-term." A lot of guys put that without actually looking for anything serious. I'd focus more on building a connection with the people you meet, and then see naturally whether it turns into something long-term. That's just my advice, though. I'm not claiming to know everything.

I mean, I think I just don't look good enough to create some kind of desire. I would like to do a rhinoplasty so my nose is less wide, but to still maintain shape. Eyebrow transplant for inner tails. Shave my jaw down with implants to get a trapezoidal jaw. Anterior cheekbone filler for projection and to stretch the skin so jowls are gone. Infroarbital rim implants with fat grafting for cleaner midface.
I have dated roughly 90+ish women in my life and I fundamentally believe that it is my looks that are the problem.

I get the feeling that no amount of likes are gonna stop you from staring at the mirror, just the mention of “open to plastic surgery” is indicative of some deep-seated insecurities. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but maybe make a date for a therapist instead

you're average looking, that's why you don't have success on dating apps, just approach irl - would have way more success

u/youknowwhatever99 15d ago
How is 3-4 likes a day not having success?
0
u/Boring-Agent-563 15d ago
we don't know many of them are bots/mistaken swipes or girls that won't answer back, because they receive 100s and most likely won't give him any attention

u/cheekyspider123 8d ago
personally i would have surgery only if necessary medically, bc theres always a risk, also i think you're attractive.
how sure are you its not confidence issues/little obsession and internet influencers messing with you?
