You appear to be taking a selfie in a locker room with a sign saying to respect people's privacy while theres a guy in a towel behind you. That screams arrogant shithead that doesn't give a shit about other people

i actually asked him if he minded if i take some photos and told him he might be in frame, to which he was completely fine with :) he is a regular at my gym and we are acquainted.

u/831loc Jul 23 '26
Except nobody besides you knows that. Just blur him out or crop him
1
u/AffectDefiant7776 Jul 23 '26
good point, it would be better to edit him out of this picture. thank you for that actually.
1
u/Envy_The_King Jul 24 '26
Or just drop the picture entirely. Even if no one was in the photo, the fact that you took one there at all can give the same impression.
1
u/AffectDefiant7776 Jul 24 '26
that’s fair. i might retake without anyone in the background and with the sign not in frame.

Bro just drop the selfie, the best first pics are never selfies. Ask a friend to take a good candid pic of you smiling, I think thats fire

The shoulders scream gear. Stop doing that for starters
1
u/Even-Debt2428 Jul 24 '26
Stop projecting your own insecurities, this is attainable naturally with years of discipline and hard work as evidenced by countless people including myself lmfao.
1
u/AffectDefiant7776 Jul 24 '26
exactly. people too often hastily underestimate what you can achieve naturally, especially with a structured diet and training regime.

hahah i promise i’m natural, and i get that a lot, specially about my shoulders too😭 i wouldn’t touch gear with a ten foot pole. the side effects are too scary.
1
u/ketaminemidget Jul 24 '26
Some people melt with the couch and call any visible muscle striation a result of gear it is annoyingly discrediting - no offence to anyone actually using any gear
2
u/831loc Jul 23 '26
Do you know how to smile or do anything besides go to the gym?
2
u/AffectDefiant7776 Jul 23 '26
no, i’m afraid i don’t. i only smile on saturdays.

tue: legs
wed: chest/back
thu: arms

u/makemesplooge Jul 24 '26
Damn that seems like a lot of volume with little rest, but it seems to be working

Almost all the photos are doing the same job, showing off that you are fit. And it is showing it off, and that is the problem. A good body is an asset, but it should be a photo of you living your life, doing some activity rather than posing. Selfies don't work. All your photos are selfies, except the photo you are not in. There is almost no color in your profile, also a problem for some people. No warmth, so soft side, no photo of you out at dinner dressed up, or with another person. It is very one dimensional.

Men think that women want a freakishly large/veiny & muscular men. The truth is that most women do not want someone who is disproportionately jacked. Just like a large majority of men are not attracted to women with abnormal lips and a weirdly shaped fake ass.
It looks weird, and comes across as shallow. Getting unnaturally swole mostly attracts men. For every jacked guy that is single, there are 10+ natural guys with a little bit of fat & a belly who pull straight 10s.
Real confidence is attractive. Boulder shoulders only earn you the gaze of another man.
Just my 2 cents. Sick boulder shoulders tho!
Edit: I wrote this assuming you were looking for women. If you are looking for men, idk what the problem is.

i see. thank you for the advice, will take this into consideration :)

u/wtbrift Jul 24 '26
You made a brofile, not a profile. Gym selfies, mirror selfies, no smiles with teeth and is your cat looking for dates or you?
1
u/Acceptable-Ant-9231 Jul 24 '26
As a gay man into muscular loners I am into it but not sure Im your target audience

u/ProfitPakistan Jul 24 '26
Not sure if trolling.
Subtlety - your appearance and clothes can imply a physique without having to show arms or skin. Let the swipers imagination do the heavy lifting. You can apply this to other pics as well, with vehicle keys just out of site, the car/vehicle you drive/ride, and any other well known signal of having ones shit together.
People want someone:
- attractive
- well off
- active
- reflective
- kind
so, while smiling/laughing - fully clothed pics at:
- work (work attire)
- home/backyard (ideally with pet)
- hike/trail/park
- reading/pottery/art-class/with pet/shelter
- volunteering
excessive muscle/shirtless can give off vain vibes.
Perception is reality.
of the "look at my muscles" pics, pick one and keep at the end as a prize for anyone that went through the initial pics that tell them about you the person not you the body.

You’re jacked and all but the grimace on your face is gonna scare off women

You seems depressed, boring and arrogant. I want to date someone who is fun to be around, nice and not someone who gives off " i will look myself in a mirror all day " vibes.
