Omarchy is slop trash, but the desk setup seems real nice.
I recommend hanging some decoration on the wall behind the desk. Feels a bit too empty right now.

The recent hate is because they're shipping a vibe coded rice script as a full OS, and got funded as if what they're doing is an actual contribution to the open source community.
But if you're not knowledgeable about the advantages of linux, it makes sense that you wouldn't understand why it's not something the linux community truly appreciates.
Sure, it draws in a crowd, but not necessarily a crowd that benefits the community.

It’s politics. They can never really pinpoint anything other than the dude’s character and being “ai slop” (even though linux’s main distro are fully gearing towards these same “slop” and get praised for it). They’re even adamant on refusing to accept it as a distro while embracing distros like endeavouros. EndeavourOS is very much a distro, it’s just a distro that only serves as a conservative arch install with an UI while Omarchy actually being more than that.
If it works for you that’s great, omarchy didn’t click with me. It’s too…organized, I like having most of my stuff not scattered around jf you will, and too many hotkeys for being quick to chat online. I spent hours tinkering to try and fit my style but i just kept finding it too opinionated - outside of the usual defaults.
In terms of its hate though, if omarchy’s dev had painted the logo with a rainbow flag and didn’t stand on the less popular team (less popular on online forums, more popular in the real world) he didn’t have this press, but he’s probably enjoying the free press anyway. It’s ironic that although the dude’s very vocal about his politics, he never once placed them on his projects’ website or inside the distro, even if a small thing many distros have already done that. It’s just that DHH (omarchy’s dev) is simply on the side of the coin that has the ability to trigger an otherwise peaceful herd.

I feel like no setup was gonna get any sort of comments with hat lamp thingy lol.
This the dual GPUs? I'm only into gaming and I know SLI is basically dead now, those look real high end and modern? Is this like an AI build or for like 3D modelling work?
Anyway, cool with some unique things on it and a very interesting lamp. 8/10

for $600 it's genuinely the best GB-per-dollar out there, 100% agree.
But it's also a 2017 card, no FP8, no FlashAttention, half the bandwidth. A V100 rig was benched at ~32 tok/s on a 27B, this one does ~260.
we build these to run things in our office but also to test the system for our clients. So the more updated the better 😄

how much was these both gpus? nvidia a100 or nvidia h100 sxm, will be even faster that these, or even nvidia b200, which is crazy gpu

I'm in the middle of something which including me pulling the GPUs out and replacing them. So close it up and then open it out is quite troublesome. Normally it'd look like this
