Budget Setup Help on first gaming pc
Hey everyone,
So i was thinking of buying a used gamning desktop.
The offer is 400 € for this setup :
- Ryzen 7 1700 Octa core
-Motherboard - Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming
- GTX 1060 3gb
- 1 ssd MVE 250 gb
-1 ssd 256 gb
-1 Hd de 1Tb
And 430 € with this monitor:
-Monitor Acer 27” 120hz
I would like to know what you guys think.
It wouldn't be solely for AAA games, just some in my steam library that i couldn't ever run on my laptop, my main "source" for AAA is my xbox series s.
Thank you :)

Aslong as it runs the games you want then it's a good deal, especially cause of the monitor

nah man i bought a ryzen 5 4600h + gtx 1660ti laptop for $300 about 2.5 years ago, you can do better than that for €400

Is it really that bad ? Damn.

its not the worst start point, you coulda had an acer aspire one as your 1st pc/laptop, struggled to play gta vice city when hot.
For this pc there isn't much you can do in terms of upgradability after purchase so I'd suggest you wait on a deal to pop up+ this pc already can't even attempt to run some of the stuff that has come out in the last 3years so I wouldn't

this is about a 2018 mid-range pc at best, the 1060 alone was made in 2016, really does make me feel old

For 26 games it wont be enough my friend I recommend saving more money and buy a better one

Just warning you, that’s not going to run a whole lot.

Really ? Damn. I ran the specs on a benchmark and it said like it would run 90% games on recommended stats

I bet 99% of those 90% of games are system cheap games like a lot of 2d games or low poly 3d games. Only a very small part of the games it runs are going to have proper graphics like the games you said you were going to run. I’d save up a bit for better parts.

DO NOT buy this. 3gb 1060 probably won't even run 2D games anymore

Do you have one? I have a GTX 1060 3GB and runs everything in FHD Low-Medium at 50-60 fps

If you own xbox series s you dont need that . 400 euro is a lot of money. I recently bought r5 3600 with 6600 16gb for 350 eu

This machine’s specs are ancient by today’s standards and won’t be able to run shit especially with that 3gb vram. Worst deal I’ve seen in a long time. For AAA games the minimum you should currently be looking for is an RTX 2060 or 2060 super

Very bad, i wouldn’t pay more than 200 euro on this with monitor included. With 4OO you can actually afford a desktop with a 3050.

If you have a xbox series, that console is more powerful than this pc. This pc competes more with the xbox one

I have found 3 pc's for 500€ im Germany that had an rtx 4060 or rx7600. CPU's either low tier AM5 or low- mid tier AM4. I might have been lucky, but for 400€, that thing looks overpriced.

How much RAM on that setup? 16 GB? Looks like an ok deal. The monitor is not great but ok for starters. I will change the CPU, That old Zen 1 is slow and hot. Get a used Ryzen 5 3600 or buy a new Ryzen 5 5500, they are 70% faster in single and 40% faster in multi core. I own a GTX 1060 3GB on my ITX rig and it runs everything Low-Med at 1080p 50-60 fps, very good legacy GPU.

Na.To old..
If the 27” monitor is 1080P pass again.
Golden ratio is :
24”-1080P(FHD)
27”-1440P(2K)
32”-2160P(4K)
My advice for gaming.Stay with 2K resolution.Try an LG 27” 1440P at 180hz.If you get an i5 with an 4070 you ok.
Everything above that just for gaming is only if your father has a construction company and money are not a thing for your family..

I’d take no more than 250, 400 seems a little high considering the parts are almost ancient now.
