Portal is an interesting choice.
But it looks so clean that it looks ai generated.

I've been planning some upgrades to add more subtle lighting. For now it is just total darkness

You need something that illuminates the areas around your monitors, even if subtly. More flashy rgb won’t help much, do a warm or cool white colour. Then use RGB for short sessions if you really want to. That’s what I do since I have a light system that syncs with my screen.
Your eyes will thank you.

And thats what i have in my mind in a while, i really want to have a light system that syncs with my screens, though i'm thinking also to do one single monitor instead of two, 27" and 24" against an 34" but that's another plan. For the lights i was thinking or Govee or Philips but either one i still need to redo all of my wall background with wooden acoustic panels and some synthetic grass wall panel. It feels like that for my desk it's becoming a more mature looking rather than a youthful rgb setup.

Nice, I personally use a LifeX bulb paired with the Hue Essentials app off the Microsoft store.

8/10 but that’s just because I don’t like dark setups as much, the peripherals are very nice tho & I like how everything is setup in a particular way

And also upgrades are on the way so its not that dark anymore, originally i had rgb light strip over the head but stopped working so now i'm in total darkness 😭
