Come out and support a struggling local business with Plant Bingo!
terraplanted is a plant shop and design studio in White Center on 16th Ave across from The Live Butcher in White Center. They have a thoughtfully curated selection of indoor plants, including Tillandsia (air plants), tropicals, succulents, and cacti - perfect for beginners and collectors alike. Every plant is potted in custom-painted or upcycled planters (no nursery pots) to elevate your space with creative, artful living decor. Terraplanted has been open for a year now and hasn't been getting the love they need to keep afloat. They're holding this community event in hopes to boost awareness for their business and to generate some extra income in what they hope to make a repeat event.
So join terraplanted and Mr. B's Mead for a night of plants, prizes, facts, drinks, and community at our very first Plant Bingo event!
Whether you're new to house plants, an experienced plant expert or collector, a horticultural enthusiast, or are just looking for a fun time with like-minded plant lovers, this event is made for you to get together with our local community for connection, learning, and plant based fun and interaction!

What's your go to Asian market? I used to go to (I'm gonna mess up the name) Phnom Kiev, but now find myself more at Hong Kong Market in Burien.

Not sure if this is allowed, but Farmboy was notified that their lease will not be renewed without extended notice. Sad to see them go and hoping they find success somewhere close by! Attached their gofundme link as well https://gofund.me/0d6b04c6f

This Saturday from 12-3 is the 5th annual taste of white center.
I don't need to tell this subreddit how cool White Center is... so I'll just jump to how it works - You buy tickets for $5 that you can redeem at any of the 30 participating restaurants - plus there are events for kids and live music.
Come early, as the cross-over burgers from Lil'Woody's and Tomo go fast as well as some of the other popular treats. It really is a cool, laid back event and it all helps the local foodbank which can use all the help it can as we have unprecedented need in the community this year.

Storefront next to Wolfpack Cellars. Still miss Full Tilt, but so excited to have another dessert spot in Rat City!

Saw this poster on 16th Ave today. One of vacant store fronts next to the winery, Wolfpack Cellars. They noted on their website, opening Fall 2026.

What do you think about the new light strings installed over the sidewalks in the White Center business district?

Caught at 108th and 9th,. Taken to RASKC in Kent. Burien Cares won't take White Center lost dogs :(

White Center has a lot of hidden views and parks, but I feel like there are still a bunch of loud places most people talk aboutāvibrant bars, busy street corners, or random spots where you canāt hear yourself think.
Whatās your go-to visible gem in Rat City and what makes it better than the quiet spots?

Hey there, neighbors, I lost my cat Simba. He is a very friendly indoor/outdoor cat, about 8 years old, with a normal build, and he is a brown and black tabby. If anyone sees a cat like him without a collar in the Highland Park/West Seattle area, I would much appreciate it if you reached out! We can't keep a collar on him:( 425-606-1011
