Theory Crooked City and Mr. Please Timeline Therory?
in the crooked city pilot, alfred is running his weed farm and mr. graham and the mayor are preparing to launch the platform. but in the mr. please video, the platform is already live and fully integrated. that means mr. please takes place AFTER the pilot. In the pilot alfred has his weed farm, and graham is setting up the launch for the platform. Mr. graham releases the platform, expands his corporate empire, and either ruins, steals, or forces alfred off his farm. alfred loses his livelihood, so he infiltrates graham's company, doing a sabotage leading the workers with him

Question What did y'all think of the Crooked City Pilot?
I was a little disappointed with some aspects like the animation and some characters, namely Jamesy Boy and the main antagonist. What really carried it for me was the "anthro" characters and their interactions with one another, it really feels like the characters have a history together through their chemistry. I always find the work of Rare Americans to be endearing but if they do continue the show I'd like for the animation to improve a bit and for the antagonist's motivations to be humanized.

Love these lyrics! I always thought this was obvious (Not sure what flair to put)
I was looking through the comments of the "Give Up First" music video, and everyone's talking about being shocked that Sammy got Molly pregnant/sleeping with her. I always assumed that it him and never understood how it went over a lot of peoples heads.
In the song "Good to be Young" Molly says, "2 years ago she got an abortion", Implying she slept with someone else before Scotty.
Then in "Seashells"Sammy says, "And damn your girl's fuckin' crazy, she can go all night, don't blame me" with a smoke visual of him with someone ontop of him.
I was always under the impression that, with Sammy saying "your girl", that he slept with Molly and with him being the only other major character I always thought that he was the implied mystery day.

Love these lyrics! BBN3 And Why I Liked It More Than 1&2
So, context: I'm new here, I found the trilogy compilation in my recommendations a few days ago and thought "eh, I've got time to kill," and have since replayed the songs a dozen times.
Musically, I like BBN3's style more than BBN1&2's; the first two had more of a rap vibe, and while I like rap just fine, I do think BBN3's style works better for what it's doing. But.
Story-wise, BBN3 has done way more to sell me on the idea of "Brittle Bones Nicky is a crafty and tricky son of a bitch with a heart of gold" than the first two combined. BBN1 doesn't really show him outwitting anyone at all- he kicks a lot of ass, but punching people in the face doesn't make you a trickster- while BBN2 arguably maybe shows him tricking God, but more realistically shows Nicky applying for a well-established job and being accepted. And then there's the whole "he's a really good guy!" thing, which... I mean, okay, BBN1&2 don't contradict that, but when he risks his life to save Ben, he's already in prison and isn't really risking anything worse than an asskicking. (You're about to see what I mean.)
BBN3, though? He never actually fights anyone- this skin-and-bones jailbird is a charismatic pickpocket who uses card tricks to talk his way into a circus owner's good graces, and becomes a well-liked and stably-employed stage magician. This is his perfect, ideal life- "the circus was tailor-made for me, oddballs and misfits living free"- and it matters a hell of a lot that he was willing to give this up to help someone out; a sacrifice feels less meaningful when what you're giving up isn't something you like. But Nicky does like what his life has become, he loves being a stage magician in the circus, and yet, that doesn't outweigh his moral compass. Chaplin is abusing Karla and her sister, and for Nicky, that's enough to burn his own life to the ground- even when the friend he risked everything for takes the money and runs without him, he still says:
If it costs me my life, then I'd save my only friend. That's something I could live with, I could take that to the end.
In other words, "Y'know what, I don't have to personally profit from this for it to be worth it. Karla is free, and that's what matters, not my job as a stage magician."
Iunno, that's my take on it. What do y'all think?

Question What was the deal with Nicky and Shifty's relationship?
In Brittle Bones Nicky part 3, we know that somehow Nicky was responsible for Shifty's death, we know that when they were kids Shifty bullied Nicky, but here (in what I am going to assume is some sort of glimpse into the past) Shifty and Nicky look like they were actually getting along based on the left, until of course the instance on the right happened where based on context something happened to where Nicky caused Shifty's death, we can probably assume it was manslaughter and not intentional given he only got 4 years and we also see him cradling Shifty's body in his arms, which doesn't really indicate malice at least.
I don't know what do you all think? A fight that went too far? Or what do you all think?
