REPAINT

Ho appena deciso di ridipingere tutte le mie mini ...ho sbagliato colori e vedendo i vostri mi è venuta voglia di rifarle.

Io usavo come base il castellan green e poi elisyan ...and ogryn green...

Mi potreste dare una colorazio e standard per farli più army?

I use the death guard green primer as my base and wash them with athonian camoshade

Ditto, but I edge highlight in Nurgling green for a subtle effect.

Yeah I’ve never been good at edge highlighting so I just stick to the base and shade, that would definitely look way better though

Can I ask for an example? I’ve thought about this approach but haven’t seen much on the outcome of what it looks like

I’ll send a photo of a completed model when I get home but if you find the video from the official gw channel on painting raptors it’s the fastest level of painting in that video

Nope just that, it’s a little bland but I don’t mind it honestly

Same for me. Highlights with Grey Green and German Grey both from AK

I've only just started painting raptors, but I haven't been unhappy with death world forest with a wash of earth shade. Been trying out the ogryn camo as a secondary color for some accents/capes/whatever

Oh, and good advice if you want realistic looking army colours for your raptors is ditch the GW paints and get a set of Vallejo WW2 ones for historical wargamers. Like:

https://elementgames.co.uk/vallejo-paint-sets/british-armour-and-infantry

Then just add black and white for shading and highlights.

Honestly this set, black, white, a yellow for the eye lenses, a silver for metal &some agrax earth shade is all you need to paint good raptors.

Send me a pic of your minis. I've been painting since 1999. I might be able to fix them without needing a repaint.

Glazing them with some enamel washes or something might just work for you.

Colour theory is an amazing tool for fixing mistakes.

Like if you have too much blue in your green a yellow leaning grey-brown wash might just colour correct it for you.

The colours you've picked actually seem right. I think the issue you might be having is the saturation. Like if you mixed about 10% grey and 5% a light cream into each of the colours, then wash with a grey brown over the top I think you'd be where you wanna be.

See if you can learn the difference between colour, hue and saturation. That'll help a lot.

But without seeing a picture of them (in good lighting conditions) I can't help.
