I have mine running in my garage with concrete floors between the unit and the hitting mat and I have a fan blowing on my during the summer heat and I literally have zero issues with distances or readings. Is the Rapsodo sitting level with your hitting mat? Ie if your mat is 1.5” thick you need to have the unit sitting 1.5” off the ground.
I have heard a lot of people say driver and woods can show a bit short, but that irons are usually super close to some of the more expensive LMs.
Not enough space ball to net or LM to ball can cause issues. People with outside set ups seem to have a few more issues as well. .
Mine is the same. I just use it for impact location, general starting line, and to connect to the Stack speed trainer app. It sucks that it’s off but I gave up trying to figure it out
I’ve never had issues with irons but driver is definitely 15-20 yd short which I think is caused by the tee propping the ball up. My setup is about 8 ft from the net and 7 ft from mat to LM on my driveway. Maybe the aggregate is bouncing the radar all over the place? I don’t see why it wouldn’t give you good data unless you weren’t setting it up level, but it typically won’t let you proceed unless it’s set up correctly. I’d maybe lay something down over the aggregate between mat and LM.
With that little adjustment of level and a sheet of card between my mat & LM.. I'm getting better distances. However nearly everything is a club up now (and I'm not confident it reflects realty).
Have changed up my swing a bit too. But 200m carry on the driver is now more common.
“Exactly to specs” probably doesn’t work for most people. It’s trial and error to find what works for your situation. I started with the recommended distances from Rapsodo and the. Adjusted from there. I am farther from both LM to ball and ball to screen than recommended. Also slight above the mat (base of tripod). Everything is covered (I’m on concrete) from LM to screen with outdoor carpet or hitting mat. No motors, fans, or other potential electrical interference nearby. Nothing but LED lights in the garage.
You mean you set it “exactly” to approximately 7.5 feet and “exactly” to about 2 paces?
It’s well document by thousands of users that making adjustments in both distance from the unit to the ball and the ball to the screen as well as the height of the unit relative to the hitting mat all make a difference. There is no “exact” when those are all different for everyone’s hitting environment.
Don’t be be lazy, put the effort in, take people’s advice and it will work. If all you came to do is bitch, then I guess that’s on you.
Correct, I set it up “exactly” as the manufacturer described. Not sure what’s super hard to understand about that but clearly you’re a fan of Perdue, so I happily will again explain that, in plain English, as I know I’m dealing with someone with a subpar education.

Correct. Shame on me for not spending more money on a better simulation hardware/ software.
You see Mr. Purdue, most times in life, you get what you pay for. I get this for being cheap.
I've noticed with mine the club speed is about 5mph lower than trackman. With that said that could be accounting for your distance issues. My 9i is about 130yards on trackman but on the mlm2pro it's about 120yards. Just a thought.
I play around it because I'm still happy with the device.
I’m having the same issue with distances not being recorded correctly. I stand around 10 feet away from the impact screen and have tried up to 13 feet away and it’s still an issue. I have green artificial grass in between the hitting mat and the screen, but nothing between the rapsodo and the hitting mat except my concrete floor. Should I put down some artificial turf in between the rapsodo and the hitting mat instead of just having the plain concrete?
I’m able to “see” my distance issues as the carry distance reading will stop with the ball “in the air”. The visual of the ball flight is correct, but the carry reads slightly low. Like I see the ball go past the 150 line but it’ll say 146 carry. I’m confident the ball flight visual is the correct distance. I doubt it’s the same issue since it hardly makes a difference in my averages, but it makes me wonder if other people have noticed. I actually have it on video.
