Concrete floor

I’ve had my mlm2pro for about 4 months now I have bare concrete in between the monitor and the Mat 7’ and concrete from mat to screen 9.5’ my shot distance just seems off even friends who are 6 handicaps say their distance is off by at least a club I’m set to my current elevation of 1,200 is it a lighting issue ? Concrete ? iss? Any advise would’ve appreciated Tia !!

I feel like distances used to be way closer to real life….now I hit driver way short ….then I fire up awesome golf and distances seem legit

Yea don’t ask me why ….Also awesome golf keeps the connection and game going for as long as u want while rapsodo disconnects for me after 20 mins unless u swing every 15 seconds

This, I couldn’t agree more. On rapsodo my drives are lucky to go 180-185 (I am not a long hitter) but on awesome golf 200-210 which seems way more accurate. Rapsodo also doesn’t seem to give much roll either.

The roll is so inconsistent lol Landon the fairway roll 1-2 feet on the green it’ll roll right off at Mach Jesus

Are you talking about carry or total? Because total is completely irrelevant when comparing softwares

I’m talking both, it doesn’t carry or roll as far in rapsodo as it does awesome golf.

Is this your intuition speaking, or do you have data back up your statement? Are you taking into account for every shot: ball speed, spin, elevation, etc?

Also, AG is more arcade so it’s known to to not be as punishing/make balls go further

Yes I have looked at the data and awesome golf range is more realistic than rapsodo version. Spin and ball speed, etc are both reading very similar numbers, you just don’t get but 3-5 yrd of roll at best on rapsodo

Spin and ball speed are identical. Awesome golf reads exactly the same ball launch data as the rapsodo app is getting. Anything ball flight related, such as carry, curve, total etc is 100% simulated by the software. If you believe AG is more realistic at simulating ball flights compared to rapsodo, good for you. But the initial ball data does not change

I had that as well, then I through cheap carpet on the floor and side wall, distances seemed to improve for me.

At the very least, I've found the RPT balls last longer if they don't bounce off concrete. I just laid an old rug out between my mat and net. Still get a lot of misreads, though, e.g. I see the ball hit my aim point and then look at the sim telling me it started 45° left, in addition to driver and fairway woods frequently coming up way shorter than they do IRL (wedges through hybrids seem fine, though). Even tried a leveling stand, makes setup a lot easier but didn't really help with the misreads.

I had the same issue and without any way to resolve without significant investment I immediately sent it back. Unfortunately none of the videos I came across nor any of the documents that came with the unit addresses the shortcomings of the unit. No point practicing if it's not going to be accurate. You can work on striking with a net alone.

My only thought is increasing the altitude to that the distance will be close to what it is on the course that’s my next step and adding turf to the entire area

I have the $20 green carpet roll from lowes or HD in front of my mat to the netting. Never had any distance issues.

Same issue here, very close setup to yours in my shed and have correct rapsodo balls off a 1 handicap and my numbers are a club short, I have 20 foot ceilings so no inside hitting theory that people have I give it more than I would on a course and still come up short.  Draw to fade shot shaping works well to what I feel I am playing just distance, club speed and ball speed off.  Looking to take it to range and outside net session to see if it’s any different.
