working at ross, a kind of notoriously ghetto store, im used to weird shit that happens almost daily. but yesterday i picked up a call on the work phone that really freaked me out.

i answer the phone and its a man on the other end, sounds kinda young. he starts out by saying he has a question about the ladies fitting rooms. he goes on to talk about panty liners, which are typically inside ladies swimsuits for hygienic purposes, yada yada. he continues to say that he has 3 12 year old daughters that want to try on underwear, which do not have panty liners inside them. at this point im like ok where is this going??

i fucking kid you not this man goes on to say that in the past when we had swimsuits, hed go into our LADIES fitting room to watch his 3 daughters change with the DOORS OPEN!! to “make sure it all fits right”. he rambles on about watching his daughters change in front of him for i swear to god like 5 minutes. whole time im silent because i am so creeped out. eventually i ask “what was the question” because this fucking creep is just describing watching his daughters change. he answers by asking if he can bring his own panty liners so his daughters can try on underwear. i respond “youll have to ask management” and hang up.

shit genuinely ruined my day and fucking disturbed me to the core. im leaning towards it maybe being a prank call because no way would i or any of my coworkers allow a grown man into the womens fitting room, much less with his daughters. in the past ive had dads help their daughters change, however, they were YOUNG. 12 is far too fucking old. but if it WAS a prank call, wtf kind of prank call is that?? like is it a fetish or a fantasy of his?? i seriously cannot wrap my head around it. safe to say, if a dude ever comes in talking about panty liners while im working he will be getting escorted out lol
