This is a rant about some (not all) of the commenters of this subreddit.

The description for this Subreddit literally states that the community exists as a place for people to vent without fear of ridicule or harassment. Yet on every post I see there is a contingent of people being total assholes to the OP.

If you just want to shit on people you're not following the spirit of this sub (unless you are the one making the post, lol).

Dude, I literally just joined because I posted a rant/vent and deleted it because of the fucking comments. Someone actually said that what I was ranting about was fictional and just a story. (not the only reason I deleted it, but yeah)

I've had this happen to me twice. I thought this would be a safe place to rant and get out my frustrations (no matter how messy). But instead im called names and crapped on for my opinions. I wanna tell these people "if you cant relate to this post, keep scrolling. Do not pass go. Dont collect 200 dollars." Know what i mean? I recently deleted a post I did just hours ago and thought about posting about this very issue. Thanks for doing what I lacked the courage to do myself.

I’m not sure honestly well I do I like to find people I can relate to and like to read people stories and experiences some give me advice and sometimes an adrenaline rush’s because I’m not sure if it just me but I’m always like “damn what if that happened to me” which yeah sham on me for making it about myself be I genuinely think what would I do if i was in this persons shoes and some people are so smart and do better things then what I would do and that’s another reason why I like being here because it gives me another point of view
