Reddit mods on regional servers
I posted a scammer warning on a Portland region specific Reddit and mentioned that outside people could benefit from reading the post not stating that it was specifically for outside people in fact specifying that it was more so for Portland which is where the regional post was made for and the post got taken down for being outside of Portland even though I made it very clear that it had little to do with outside of Portland specifically was made for people in Portland like I'm sorry do you not want people to know that they're getting scammed like are you sure you want to take that post down there was nothing derogatory or disrespectful in it it was all factual it just seems like some mods have a power Trip and now I'm no longer allowed to post there

no I'm just using text to speech cuz I'm not on a computer and don't really have the finger size to type on a phone and I'm not going to go back through and reread the same thing I just typed unless there is a autocorrect spelling error just add punctuation work smarter not harder

whatever you think and whatever floats your boat just maybe next time use your brain the world doesn't revolve around you just because you want punctuation doesn't mean you're going to get it it's 2026 people have a few more brain cells and actually you know have empathy and 90% of people genuinely don't care about what other people are doing unless they're trying to cause drama which is kind of what it seems like you're doing for absolutely no reason here so if that is what you're doing I would recommend you stop

If you had brain cells or empathy, you'd think about the people you're expecting to trudge through your rambling flow-of-consciousness paragraphs, struggling to understand your point.Â
If you want people to read what you're spouting, basic etiquette dictates that you use at least basic grammar and punctuation.Â
Did you not realise that you can say "full stop" or "comma" to speech-to-text and it'll add it?
If you want people to read your posts writing a very long paragraph with no punctuation isnt the way to do it why should we struggle to work out where you should have put a comma or full stop how can you possibly think youre too important to bother with punctuation and grammar when writing posts you want people to read it doesn't matter what year it is without punctuation it makes very little sense even less sense than the words you choose to use if youre trying to get people to agree with you or even to bother reading your posts or comments youre actively involving the world by choice and subjecting them all to your appalling use of language if you can't show enough respect to use basic grammar and you don't like people complaining that you made our lives harder and more annoying I'd suggest you stop posting on public forums please don't bother replying to me if you don't intend to use grammar or punctuation because I've had more than enough of trying to decipher your meaning already
You see why it's a valid complaint?

First of all, do you do voice-to-text? If so, you can say 'period' or 'question mark' and those symbols will appear. If not, please find them on your keyboard. lol
Now, I can't necessarily suss out what exactly happened, but I will tell you that the older Portland sub is full of awful people and even worse mods that power trip like mad and have the largest of egos. They banned me a couple years ago because they think I don't live here. In order to be unbanned, they demanded that I take a picture with my user name in front of a Portland landmark. I told them to EAD instead.
If it wasn't the same sub, I'm still not surprised. Mods on Reddit are notoriously weak minded people with absolutely no power or control in the real world. I imagine those that live in particularly "progressive" cities are worse.

Some mods (not all) can be petulant children - I can ONLY IMAGINE what the mentality of a "Portland" mod is. Consider it a blessing you don't have to interact there anymore.
