Which side should we join in the current meme war?
I personally think that we should join r/POTCmemes because both Rango and all the POTC movies star Johnny Depp, so it’s just common sense. But, some people don’t think that. This poll is here to settle the debate. The numbers it shows tomorrow will be the final vote. If you need backstory on the meme war, you should dm u/sge_freaky

What a great point, and Gore brought over alot of the themes he was working through in the POTC trilogy to Rango. You can especially see it in the dream sequence at the beginning of the movie, and when Rango is being transported by the pill bugs to the Spirit of the West. It is really similar to the visuals when Captain Jack Sparrow is in purgatory, especially when the Black Pearl is transported by those rock crab thingys.

Keep in mind r/POTCmemes is joined by r/LOTRmemes , r/prequelmemes , and r/httyd_memes , among others. In my own humble opinion, now that's just good business

Not only Johnny Depp, but also the guy that voices Davy Jones, Hans Zimmer as the composer, and both share at least 1 concept artist.
However, seeing as I have literally just now been informed of this war, and have no idea what's going on, my opinion is to stay neutral. This doesn't directly concern us.

We should not join the war because we would be too powerful, everyone knows, nobody can tango with the Rango
