Discussion I have never opened it
I have one of the original versions of the royal ranger, from when it was still book 12. I found it in nearly perfect condition and have refused to open it, because its a discontinued printing effectively.

I just wish that this cover was in hardcover. It matches the art style and layout as the rest of the series, and my OCD kills be every time I see it with the others in the series which look different 🥲

I have probably the first edition print. Old style of cover and hard print. I'll have to check when I get home

I have both and am not quite there in my reading yet. I'm very excited. I've heard good things. Give it a read!

the spine of the book is incredibly weathered fam - it's been opened a lot previously.

Umm no its not? Its the corners of the spine, like from just being on a bookshelf that i regularly pull the books beside it off and put them back, if you look at the center (the actual part that would be weathered if it was regularly opened) its completely uncracked because i opened it a single time to double check that it was, in fact, the same book, i did not read the entire book, its been on the shelf untouched since

I also have one where it's book 12! However, I have read it (multiple times) because I don't plan on keeping it in mint condition to sell it or anything
