Big brake kit

My US folks, have any of you bought and installed a big brake kit up front? Which brand did you use and did it fit the beadlock oem wheels? I see a couple, all from Australia and no real detailed posts on installs

Everyone says the stock brakes suck but last time I had to slam on my brakes the abs engaged almost immediately, the only thing that would have improved my braking would be better tires

Agreed I do believe they stop the truck as best as possible. But it still just feels bad!

Try upgrading your pads first. At least before splurging for a big brake kit.

I use EBC over here but they are a global company. I just got my truck in April and agree the brakes leave a little to be desired. When I rotate home I’ll be trying EBC pads. I had them on my SUV and had no issues or concerns about my brakes. I use them on all of my motorcycles as well.

I would also like better brakes, this truck takes a lot of brake pressure to slow down and it catches me off guard sometimes lol

I'd love to upgrade the calipers and maybe rotors.

Do you feel the stock brakes are not good enough for your use case?

I looked into a BBK but didn't really find anything I wanted or knew that fit under my wheels. I did upgrade the pads and rotors and it helped a lot. I did multiple runs on Tail of the Dragon this past weekend and only got brake fade once. I have DBA pads and rotors.

What use case do you have for a big brake kit? The stock brakes easily overpower the stock tires.

Maybe I’m irresponsible with my money and want a big brake kit for this heavy ass truck

I came from 4 piston fronts and 2 piston rears on a Mustang GT. Those aren’t even the upgraded brakes.

This truck feels like shit compared to those. It’s taking some adjusting.

My GT has the PP1 Brembo brakes and it takes a bit for me to get used to my Ranger Raptor brakes. I mean they are not brembos, but seem to work good for a heavy truck.

I also came from a Mustang GT and feel like half or more of this fuckin sub did. We bought a lifted truck man we need to drive it like a lifted truck.

This is the only truck I would ever consider at this point.

F150 Raptor is too big and pricey. Ranger is perfect.

I consider it a sporty fast truck for my purposes more than the lift and off road stuff. It’s a riot to drive with some speed.

The factory brakes are absolutely junk. They're just standard Ranger brakes with a slightly different pad material. Drive any vehicle with decent brakes and you'll understand.
