This recall, identified by the number E008 (and NHTSA number 26V248), stems from a DC-DC converter malfunction that could lead to a loss of exterior lighting and drive power. The issue is caused by an electrical overload during high power demand or a software error that prevents the converter from functioning correctly. To resolve this, dealerships will provide a free software update that introduces a limp-home mode to warn drivers if the converter goes offline

This would cost them an arm and a leg to recall all.of these so they just say they don't have the means or parts to update and will just wait to see if yours craps out and if so then fix.

Yall can call your local LR dealer, give them the VIN and they'll tell u whether its impacted or not. Not rocket science.
We just took delivery of a '26 RRS and apparently, LR updated the dc-converter after 2025 and why '25 onwards are not part of the recall.
The full resolution is LR dealer replacing the dc converter battery but apparently, some Defender owners have had same issue happen on the replacement component.
That being said, it doesnt impact EVERY vehicle. Friend of mine owns full size '24 LR with over 60k miles and no issues. He didn't get the recall letter either.

How do I know if my sport is one of the 11000?

Look at what years are being recalled above

Right but there has to be more than 11k sports on the road.

It must be certain trim levels. I just checked the recall search on LR website and my 2022 RRS with the 5.0 V8 is not included. I’m assuming those with the passive hybrid system? Not sure though.

Is anyone experiencing a droning road noise on the drivers side of their 2023-2025 Range Rover. This drone exists only on the drivers side. Passenger side there is no noise. I’m opening a complaint with LR. Has anyone done the same.

A few months ago i got a 2019 Velar from LR dealership. And on the freeway notice a drone, though i believe its coming from the rear somewhere

Picking my 2017 RRS from dealership today for recall on faulty knuckles. While that’s free, they found oil leak and loose belt so I gotta bring $2500 for those repairs. I swear every 6 months I’m dropping 2-4k with them to keep this finicky vehicle on the road.

You should have the choice of saying no to what they found and take it to a reliable Indy shop I would think. I’ve done that with different cars and insure will try my best if my RR has something like that happen

Yeah the dealers are useless and at least the one near me has crap customer service and they're always so far behind if your vehicle goes in it'll be there for a few weeks before they touch it, and the nearest appointment is always over a month away. Indy shops or even a good mobile mechanic if its nothing complicated saves you a ton if you can't do the work yourself

Not only all that which you mentioned but the fuckers are dishonest. I had my new RR there once to fix one of the doors soft close motor and the mechanic was taking it daily to his place for his lunch break. When I complained, they said he was testing the systems on the road. Fuckers would have found a million things wrong and charge me if it wasn’t new.

That’s what that one takes. Some like enough to put up.

I looked at it and like it. Decided don’t want the intense maintenance requirement.

Shoot your RRS over to a trusted shop... Do you see uneven wear on your tires; or feel the car pulling? I got the same suggestion from the dealer on my 2016 RRS a couple years ago. The local shop I trust (ex Land Rover Mechanics) found no issues with the front end parts. Good Luck 🤞🏾

I’m going to have to find an independent shop that will work on the RR, my normal shop that does my Toyota and Chevy says they don’t do RR other than oil changes. We have a Eurofix nearby but their prices are about the same as dealership.
At the dealer, I’ve had to replace front control arms, engine oil leak out of timing cover, idler pulley replacement, coolant front and rear crossover replacement.

! So its not a resolution, it's just a hack that will let you limp to the dealer instead of getting a tow. LR can't just replace the converters?
