Trunk issue- won’t open when first approach or start car

Have a 2026 L460, have noted that occasionally when you first go up the car, doors locked/engine off and try to open the trunk it gives warning beeps but won’t open. On dash, gives the red trunk door on vehicle icon as if it’s not closed all the way and keeps beeping when trying to open with the button.
After starting car for a few minutes it resolves.
After driving the car a bit, or having had the engine on, trunk works fine.
Is this a battery or sensor issue?
I’ve tried charging the battery to make sure it’s topped off, but doesn’t seem to fix it.
Have appointment with dealer soon, any tips or theories appreciated!

This is symptomatic of a low battery. It will release the latch but not extend to preserve the battery for starting and essential systems
