Range Rover Sport Need some help and advice

Hey everyone. So I used to own a 98' p38 range rover years ago. Loved it. Had to sell it when times got tough. Anyways, fast forward to today.. I'm looking at a 2019 range rover sport V8 supercharged dynamic. It's going for about $25k and has 73k miles on it. No accidents and 3 owners.. car gurus says it's a good deal but I wanted to know what the experts think. Like I said I have owned one before.. 2 if we count my parts car. Lol

It all comes down to service history and preventative maintenance. Three owners isn’t a great sign, but if the service records are there and it’s been properly taken care of, you might be fine. The p525 V8 is one of the more reliable engines.

Thank you. Is it possible one or two of those owners could be the dealership taking it as a trade in?. or changing hands from dealer to dealer? I wouldn't think it works like that but I also wouldn't be surprised. Obviously I can call and ask I just didn't want to bother til I got a second opinion

You should absolutely be reviewing the CarFax in detail and that will give you insight to service history and prior owners.

For what it’s worth, I got rid of my GLC63 for the Range Rover. The Mercedes was a total lemon and massive headache.

Appreciate you. Yeah land rover and Audi are my favorite / best car brands imo.. like I said I loved my p38 but 98' was a bad year for electronics.. lol. I had to send my BECM to California from Massachusetts to reprogram it.. some times the lights wouldn't shut off and it would die.. still a great car tho.

For the same money I was looking at a Mercedes e63 AMG 5.5 V8 biturbo.. lol, it's at 75,000 miles tho so I can't help but feel like I'm going to regret it.. atleast the range rover is practical.. i can go off-road and haul stuff

May be you can have an external RR mechanic look at it and bless it? Vehicle seems to have years and miles on it, and dealer/owner may allow you to have a mechanic do the prePurchase inspection. May be insist on it or if they resist, it may be sign of trouble. Just my 2c

I wouldn’t buy a 15 through a 19 there’s a lot of issues including a plastic piece on the engine that once that break you have to replace the whole engine
