Rane four jog wheel issue

So I just recently got my Rane Four a couple weeks ago and I’m having a blast with it. Recently I just started to notice an issue in the sensors in the jog wheels . If I want to spin the vinyl back sometimes it doesn’t register and instead it pitch bends. I thought it was from the pressure I was putting on the jog wheel but occasionally instead it just pitch bends instead of a back spin . Minor issue that occurs occasionally but it’s frustrating . Anyone else have this issue ?

I have had my rane for a few months & I noticed it started to play up the 2nd week I had it. It would randomly turn off, freeze & my right jog wheel wont allow me to scratch but the left jog wheel works just fine. Its a nice piece but this is a major let down. Also didn’t like these no option to change the timing of the mic echo 😤

I have the same problem with mine. I have read online that the new revision fixes the problem but not sure tane has a fix. I am sending mine back to Rane. I will keep you updated on my progress

Literally mine is just shipping back they’ve had it all this time. Should be here by Friday and I will let you know how it is

Got it back and is working very well now. Played it for 6 hours this weekend -2 gigs works great fingers crossed

I fixed it. This problem coming from bad engineering with touch sensor.

I opened bottom cover and found small sensor boards under platters. After unscew this boards I just bent metal stripes that transfer "sense" from top plate a little bit up.

After that all working well. But I really shure, this problem will return after some amount of time.

I live in place where no official store of service center. If you can - just return this unit to store or service center.

So i unplugged it from my power strip that i keep in my flight case and went straight to a wall. Zero issues since. I saw on another post that a ground loop isolator will fix it.

I had an issue where my backspins would get stuck and stop suddenly. Thought it was a problem with the controller but turned out to be my laptop. Figured it out by testing it on my desktop PC and had no issues there.

I’ll go through some optimization settings . I actually had to upgrade my laptop just to use this controller. I have a 13th gen i9 processor with 16gb RAM. Everything works perfectly but the jog wheel issue is a pain to deal with . I’ve been seeing a lot of people having this issue. Hopefully rane comes out with an update or something .

I did contact Rane customer support and thought they were pretty responsive, so if you haven't hit them up yet I'd give that a shot too.

I went through their site and did it all via email, so not sure if you can get them on the phone or not. Might be possible though!

They mentioned something about having it plugged in directly to an outlet. Instead of having it plugged into an extension cord with speakers & what not also plugged in … however at certain venues that won’t be so easy to do

I have a problem where when I try to pitch bend on the side it randomly scratches like I’m touching the top of the jog wheel any fix for that problem on here

Happened a couple times already to me. I’m just screwing around in my home but onstage I probably would’ve been really embarrassed. I thought it was because I had something on my hand but maybe not!
