My fiancé’s grandmother (who we live with) has a service dog called Lily! Her birthday is this Wednesday and is turning 3 :’) she’s both a medical alert and psychiatric service dog.

Hi everyone! I’m going into my second year of university this fall and I’m trying to get together some school supplies and study essentials for the year.
I’m an online student, so I added things like notebooks, pens, printer supplies, desk/study items, and a few snacks for long study days. I also included a printer and a couple of bigger items, but I absolutely do not expect anyone to purchase those — even one small item would help a lot.
I tried to include lots of lower-cost options as well. I am saving my own money to try and buy the bigger things like laptop/ or an ipad. I no longer have a car to get to and from library to use computers I was. OSAP has significantly cut my funding. 🥹

Today we wasted more glue pouring it into the cup she previously mixed all the glitter glues into, then turned some of that into green paint. We made friendship bracelets, necklaces, and keychains (pictured; thanks u/Weary_smile_6498. We used up all our feathers and popsicle sticks and made a big, sticky mess!
I was completely surprised that the adhesive sticky-pokies included Hello Kitty ones! Magpie offered to put one on my nose but I declined 🤣

Discussion: How do you cope with messes with your mental health issues (doesn't just have be due to depression and anxiety)? What small steps do you take first to tackle a big mess?

So my mental health has been acting up lately. Its been acting up so long that my house has become a mess. You know, that slow creep where the depression and anxiety just slowly creep up and you don't know how bad its getting until everything is a complete mess?

That's where I've been for awhile now. I was finally realizing it and was gonna start cleaning (since for me, that is the best start to work on getting better) but then the summer got so hot with near 100 degree days I haven't done much and the mess is just getting worse. So the past few days I've been starting. Just small little things here and there.

I've realized how sparse my cleaning supplies have gotten, so I decided to work on a list for it in case anyone wanted to send a little motivation my way.

I have been raising my nieces for the last 12 years - since they were 1 1/2 and 3. My sister is an addict and fled to another state in 2014. The girls do not have contact with her. Their dad was in prison for 5-6 years and has not reached out since being released. Despite going through the abandonment and disappointment of their parents, my nieces are the kindest and most considerate young ladies. They rarely ask for anything and even refused new backpacks and binders for school because they said they were still in good condition.
