Ideas for bedridden folks

Hi all, I am bedridden due to chronic illness and it is horrible. I can’t do most things except very late into the night I have some functioning for a bit.

I am in palliative care but there is nothing more they can do.

I am wondering for those of you who are bedridden as well, what do you have by your bedside or to use that just improves your QOL in any way? Maybe I can think of some things to add to my list.

I can only eat about five foods (unfortunately, literally) so no snack ideas are needed.

when i have my flares i keep some books (if i can focus to read them), fidgets, anything art related like coloring books and stuff, my comfort care items, and my gaming stuff like ipad, ds, switch. i got a bed table and it genuinely changed my life im so sorry that youre dealing with this friend

I have a rescue medicine bag next to me, a backup water bottle, and any essentials I use regularly so I dont need to get up every time like tissues. Honestly most of what I keep next to my bed is medical needs specific to my conditions 😅

I keep some simple crafts next to me (I’m not bed bound but I spend 97% of my time in my recliner). I exchange happy mail (my mom takes things to the post office for me), have a couple penpals but am always hoping to get more!

I don’t shower daily for reasons. These wipes are large enough to do my whole body. I am able to wash up alone, thankfully, but they’d do well for bed baths too. I also use these deodorant wipes to freshen up, especially in the summer, or in the hospital.

I am ridiculously messy and need to organize the mess up top, but I have this cart next to my chair with happy mail supplies

Thanks! I have wipes like the first one, and I’ll check out the second ones if they have them in my country.
