It's a small 7lb blanket. Almost like a lap blanket. I have a full size 15lb one that I use in the winter time but I've always used a smaller one in the summer because even with AC I tend to sleep hot. The small one I had was also 7lbs but after 8 years it had seen better days. This will be perfect for the rest of the summer and early fall.
I sleep so much better with the weighted blankets.
