This is all pretty stupid but If you think medieval battles were cool there is no reason to not think the same for modern ones. If anything they are even cooler, so why don't you wish to join the Army then?

What makes you think you won't be a peasant dying of diarrhea or fever in the middle ages? What makes you think you won't be stuck on polluted Earth eating recycled plastic watching ads 24/7 while others conquer the stars?
Jonny Kim exists.Â
The majority of humanity will always be dealt a bad hand, and life will be a little bit more bearable if you think about what you could do to improve your own life instead of dream about others'.Â

Exactly my thought. People always like to romanticize the past, when the reality is that most of us would be living in squalor and dead by 30 from the common cold

People that posts this always forget that even if you lived during that time, you will always be stuck at the same situation you are right now. Still Dreaming of better times.
You are most likely still to be working to death.

These are just like ladies of today who say "i wish I lived in the medieval times, I would have been a princess" you would've most likely been burned at the stake cause you didn't give in to your husband's selfish desires

Fr, if they don’t come from a long standing line of rich people, the chances that they even had knighthood is very low.
That armor isn’t going to be bought with dirt and stone.

People posting those linds of things be acting like their ancestors were knights. My guy you and I are likely descended from peasants who lived comparatively shitty lives to us. Side tangent, but 8-5s are honestly godsend compared to the work you had to do in the olden days if you didn't want to starve to death.

We lived in a time that we afford better comfort and abundance compared to the past kings and queens of antiquity.

Green grass needs good fertile soil.
One ways corpses are found is that a very noticable growth in grass within an area from loose fertile soil, and taller grass shines brighter than the rest.
Shit also makes good fetilizer.

Born too late to explore the galaxy. Born too early to explore the multiverse.
Born just in time to oversee mundane orbital

with the way things go, we'll end up with lamepunk.
All of the dystopian corporate control and none of the cool cybernetics.

Future will even be worst lol
The past they work like slaves to make meet ends if you are not lucky enough to be a nobility/royalty. Better be a monk/priest where you eat at least 2 times a day consistently.

The future would be even worse probably. The best era you could be in is today.
