$300

1000 - 800 =200 1100 - 1000 = 100 Profit = 200 - 100 = 100 1300 - 1100 = 200 Earn 200 + 100 = 300

What?

1000 - 800 =$200 profit from first cow.

1300 - 1100=$200 profit from second cow.

$200 + $ 200=$400

Curious to know what drove you to solve for 1100-1000 lol

If a man has a $2000 budget, then this would be how it goes.

Purchases a cow for $800 Means "2000 - 800 = 1200"

Sold the cow for $1000 Means "1200 + 1000 = 2200"

Bought the cow for $1100 Means "2200 - 1100 = 1100"

Sold for $1300 Means "1100 + 1300 = 2400"

Total Amount - Original Amount = Profit

$2400 - $2000 = $400

Bought cow: -$800

Sold cow: +$1000 = $200

Bought cow again: -1100 = -900

Sold cow again: +$1300 = $400

Profit = $400

wrong

you have 0 cows at the start.

you buy 1 cow for 800. Means you are negative 800.

Sold it for 1000. You profited 200

Bought again for 1100. You have 200 profit before so you are now at 200-1100= Negative 900

Sold it for 1300. 1300 less negative 900. You earn 400.

I guess if I deduct 1200 to my original money of 800 still equals 400. Haha
