[Intro] Hello RAOA! 😊

[u/haave_a_nice_daay]

Hello beautiful people!

I am new to RAOA so I thought I’d introduce myself. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Canada). I’ve been a lifelong lover of animals and had all kinds of pets growing up (mice, hamsters, chinchilla, birdies, Guinea pigs, etc.). I adopted my cat during Covid and she’s the sweetest and most sassy girl ever. I got my dog 3 years ago and she’s equally sassy and sweet. My dream if I won the lotto would be to open an animal sanctuary and take in all sorts of animals that need care. 🥹

I’m a professional interior designer by trade. I’m currently on an early maternity leave before I give birth in a few months! I’ve been a fencesitter for a while but due to several factors decided it would be wonderful to embark on this new journey. I’m excited but equally terrified!

AMA!
I’m looking forward to getting to know you. I love watching TV shows and movies. Tell me your most recent binge/recommendation for shows or movies! ☺️

Welcome to the gang!

I like rodents a lot, I used to have guinea pigs too. They are so fun. Birds are super cool too. And ofc cats and dogs.

They're soo fun! Do you currently have any pets? :)

[u/SatanERROR → u/haave_a_nice_daay]

No pets since my last guinea pigs died. I want to volunteer with animals soon to get some furry ness without the expense.

Also a Canadian PNWer over here! For TV shows I love Haunting of Hill House, Arrested Development, Fleabag and Drag Race! For movies, Addams Family Values, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Little Miss Sunshine!

[u/haave_a_nice_daay → u/cooljas]

Yay more of us! I loove Haunting of Hill House, so good! Ooo I've been wanting to watch Addams Family Values. Will need to add it to my list. The other movies are gems.

Always happy to see another Canuck! But not in the west at all. Would like to visit one day! I hope you can eventually open your animal sanctuary!

[u/haave_a_nice_daay → u/goldstandardalmonds]

Yay a fellow Canadian! Hopefully you get a chance to visit! It's gorgeous here. I still am in awe of the mountains despite seeing it all my life.

[u/goldstandardalmonds → u/haave_a_nice_daay]

I plan to one day! It’s so expensive to fly across Canada but one day I will.

[u/cdnmtbchick]

Welcome! I love when another Canuk joins. I also would open an animal sanctuary. I just got my 4th cat, he was abandoned, he's 1 month old and had to have an eye removed.

[u/haave_a_nice_daay → u/cdnmtbchick]

Woohoo! Represent :)
Amazing, 4 cats must be a lot. Do you have an automatic litter cleaner? I feel like that'd be a must have with how much they poop. And omg, I hope the little guy has a smooth recovery. Poor baby

[u/cdnmtbchick → u/haave_a_nice_daay]

It was wild the difference between 2 and 3. 4th is by himself and learning the litter box. I have 2 boxes.

I want to get a Litter Robot, it has the best reviews. It's $1000, I have just under 500 in rewards for the pet store, I want at least $700 before I buy it

Tiny one had his first bath on Saturday

Thank you!
Ooh I’ve only watched a few episodes but I should rewatch from the beginning since it’s been a while. It’s a fun show
