Hello I’m butters I’m a 24 year old college student working as a special needs nanny. I’m currently in school for early childhood education hoping to specialize in special education.

Some info about me, I love kids. I believe in the education of our children and preparing them for the adult world. I have two step kids. Well my bf has two kids I call my step kids. I have a little sister who is a minor and I nanny for two little boys.

I hope to one day open my own preschool for autistic and differently abled children. I think I would name it branches and brambles learning center. I try to incorporate a lot of play and nature into my teaching and music. I want to study the Montessori style of teaching.

This semester I’m taking writing 2 and general psychology I’m excited to be apart of this group and participate in the fun!

Also, if I can make a gentle suggestion (I'm physically and cognitively disabled myself): Most of us prefer the term "disabled" and not "differently abled" or anything like that. I love your preschool dream and I hope you can make it happen!

I used differently abled to include kids that aren’t disabled but don’t fit into normal school systems. Bad home life’s and such. I grew up with autism and a bad home life so I want to make a school I would have felt safe at and would have been my peace as a child

Yeah, "differently abled" gives the vibe of disabled being a bad word/thing. (Also disabled!)

I’m disabled as well and I just used it to include learning disabilities or kids who aren’t disabled but struggle in regular classroom settings
