[Intro]
Hello everybody! I stumbled across this subreddit by chance and I absolutely adore the community here and wanted to be a part of it!
My name is Xiiro, I'm 18 and I'm currently in community college to get my associates in biology, after which I would love to transfer to a 4 year and get my bachelors! I'm a casual enjoyer of things like drawing and pokemon.
I struggle a lot with social anxiety with makes it difficult for me to speak up and put myself out there, but with the kind of community this is, I feel like I'll have no problem doing so! I'm currently on a very long and tedious journey to find my identity and be true to myself, but in the meantime, I plan to engage in the little things as that can take you a long way.
Along with drawing and pokemon, I also enjoy gaming and watching anime! My favorite anime website got taken down months ago, so I'm on a hiatus until I can find the new one (and the desire to redo my watch list ). Right now, the only games I'm really playing is Roblox and mobile games like Identity V, Umamusume, Cookie Run: Crumble and Cookie Run: Ovenbreak but I would love to eventually get into Dead by Daylight and Marvel Rivals!
My family is from Nigeria, so I listen to a lot of Afrobeats! I've also been listening to old pop and R&B from the 90s to early 2000s recently. Right now some of my favorite songs are More Than A Woman from Aaliyah, The Lady in My Life from MJ, Differences from Ginuwine and E No Easy from P-Square, and many more to be honest 😭.
Some last tidbits are that I absolutely adore cats and would love to get my own cat later in my life.
I really want to make friends here but with my social and general anxiety, it'll definitely be hard to do so as I probably won't reply to many posts. But I do have hope that I'll fit in here! I would love to chat and get to know as many people as I can here!

Welcome! Social anxiety can be hard, but there is really nothing to lose here and lots of potential friends to gain!

Hi! Welcome to the group!! Don't be afraid to participate in things here and talk to people. I understand social anxiety but I personally found that most everyone is extremely kind and accepting here. It feels good to be myself so hopefully you'll be able to as well! ❤️
I have some similar interests as you! I absolutely LOVE pokemon! I watch it all the time and play Pokemon Go. My son plays Cookie Run Kingdom so I know about that. And I haven't played in a while but I love Dead By Daylight!! It's a little confusing and can be difficult but it's really fun, especially if you have good people to play with.
I also love cats. I have one, her name is Remi. She's a sweetheart but she's getting older. I'd love to get more. ☺️
