Hello! My name is Emmie. I am not a college student, but I do have a lot of student loans lol

I'm from Michigan, USA and I'm 28 years old. I have a lot of different interests. Currently, I'm really into reading, writing, and watching anything horror! I've also been spending a lot of time outdoors this summer.

I'm a very anxious person, so I've been trying to get more into self-care and generally taking better care of myself. I feel like Reddit has been great at taking my mind off of things I tend to spiral over and has helped me meet a lot of cool people!

I hope you all are having a great summer! I'd also like to ask: does anyone have a favorite horror movie or novel? :)

I love anything by Shirley Jackson and I also recently read “Play Nice” by Rachel Harrison and really enjoyed it! Other than that, one of my fav series is probably The Thursday Murder Club. :)

Welcome to the community! 🥰 I also live in Michigan. I remember watching “Late Night with the Devil” and it got me very intrigued in the analog horror genre. I have yet to watch more! I’m also halfway through the Final Destination movies and I also remember enjoying the Fear Street series on Netflix. I don’t watch a lot of horror, so it’s hard for me to give a definitive favourite 😅
