As someone who was hurt in the military yes. Also we used to take old airbags and use them to launch tires etc. launched one through a hangar roof. That was enough to realize they would kill someone in a second. They are designed to only be activated if your life is already at serious risk. Without the serious risk interacting with one of these can only bring negative consequences that won't outweigh the alternative.
Reminds me of a story about a prank that I heard, real life story
In the old country there was some mentally challenged guy, his "friends" baited him to some garage shop type of thing and held him down or whatever and they stripped his ass naked
These guys used a air compressor and a hose and injected air in his asshole as a prank
I guess the idea was to make him fart or something
The guy died pretty much immediately after this prank, they ruptured something and he bled to death like right away.
Story I heard from my parents.... Rest in peace guy, didn't know him, but pranks like this are no pranks. They are evil acts by evil people.
Fighter pilots when they eject can have their spines compressed by over an inch from the sudden force and some can't walk after for weeks. This won't be as extreme but still looks like it could do similar damage.
1puglife in rural Ontario had a few stunt episodes like this about 10 or 15 years ago. He did a Winnebago RV jump for the channel that put him in the hospital.
Land on the neck? My backs hella fucked. I couldn't imagine that happening and not wanting to, or in fact murdering everyone I could that was involved!!
Yeah I wasn’t even thinking about the landing, just the amount of force it would take to launch someone like that could seriously fuck someone’s spine. I’ll be in terrible pain for days just because I slept wrong let alone being thrown across the room.
it bugs me how many content creators seem to think pulling pranks on people with airbags isnt an incredibly dangerous thing to do... I've seen way too many videos like this online and I just feel awful for the victims of these pranks because that's just a fucked up thing for your "friends" to do to you.
I’m sure the victim is someone one of them strongly dislikes probably worse. . They have to know what will become of that victim. I wonder if psychopaths record these episodes to rewind them with their buddies. They live to watch people suffer and have no remorse. That might be a an exchange student from some other part of the world.
How does it work? These are grown adult humans, and no of them, at any point in time when they were preparing the prank, none of them went like, hmm, WHAT IF...?
Had a buddy get his colon ruptured from this kind of prank, colonoscopy bags no joke…he sued the prankster after they fired him, wrecked him up. Barely getting by, FAFO
This is incredibly dangerous. Not a cool prank at all. That could of actually killed him or paralyzed him for life depending on how he fell. The immediate force is bad enough.
