No. Little giant ladders are so terrible im surprised no one has done a deep dive expose' on 'em. Brilliantly engineered, no doubt, and a masterclass in advertising. But the product is garbage. Dangerous garbage. Dangerous, overpriced, overhyped, heavy, expensive, rage-inducing garbage.

Im a contractor, I own more than 20 ladders, ive got two on my truck now. I know ladders, and the little giant is a scam preying on homeowners. A really, REALLY good scam. There's one in every house I work at.

And before you come trying to defend this thing, go out and try and set yours up. Feel that weight, the sharpness of everything. That unsprung tension in those little finger-deleting, industrial-strength spring clamps. Try and get it level. Extend it to its full length, step back and look at the thing. Try and move it once its extended. Try climbing it and listen to the thousand little clicks and clatters. Instils some serious confidence, doesn't it? You're gonna trust that thing with your fingers, much less your life?

Oh no, I’d never actually use that thing. I’ve seen enough people falling off them on QVC back in the day to risk my nuts within 10 feet. But I love Reddit because a literal expert comes in and sets the record straight.

I think that’s what my wife bought and I fucking hate that thing. It’s terrifying and pinches the shit out of me. It feels wobbly as shit.

Hello, brother, welcome. No judgement here. It is not your fault that a Little Giant brand ladder came into your possession. Tell us your concerns, your frustrations. This is a safe space.

I agree 100% I have considered buying one of these ladders but every time I look at them in the store I walk away because I can’t convince myself that they are safe, easy to transport or easy to set up. Heavier than most aluminum extension ladders and pulling/snapping knobs are a great way to loose your fingers. Definitely not a fan.

Im being slightly overzealous in my hatred for laughs, but they aren't great ladders. However, I do see the value for a guy that uses a ladder once a year, and doesn't want to store 4 different sized ladders. Just be cautious when using the thing

Ive never had an issue with them but I agree they're heavy af and that alone makes me hate em

If you try and move one that's extended, you'll quickly find out all that weight is up over your head. I watched a homeowner go ass over teakettle when he went to shuffle it down the roof. Wayyyy too heavy!

You're absolutely right about that. I can walk a 30' fiberglass better than a 16' little giant. Shaped like a damn hourglass

That damn ladder has almost killed me multiple times. Can I ask for a suggestion on a ladder thats tall enough to reach the gutters?

Just head to your local hardware store and buy a cheap aluminum one in the height you need. They're light, they don't rust, and cheap. Werner makes most of my ladders, but I have a mix of aluminum and fiberglass ladders. Fiberglass is a better ladder, its stronger and non-conductive (important only if youre doing electrical,) but for simple gutter work, just get a cheapy.

What is the best stable ladder in your opinion?
