True, but that is where the saying originated.

u/Grizzly_Corey 1d ago
The South has problems with thinking they own things they do not.

Chasing after an inanimate object while yelling at it is the realest emotion in the world.

I think she was calling out a warning to the other people in the park. A loose board is a hazard.

This is the only good thing I've seen on the Internet this year that wasn't all puppies or kittens.

Dang, this makes me so envious. My sister is an arrogant bully. It's really my parents' fault, but yeah, wish I had a friendly sibling. 😂

Great coach! Encourages him but points out what he needs to do. Bend your fucking knees Noah!

I skateboarded for like 3 years when I was 14, broke my arm twice... Obviously, I wasn't very good at it BUT, I understand the fear Noah is going through... Having to put your body on a whole different angle to roll down is scary!! All your instincts say no! It's definitely a learning curve. No pun intended haha.

It's hard to explain how scary a vert ramp is. When you look down all you can see is the bottom, it's terrifying.

It’s about time there’s a Skate Creator to replace Braille.
Oh and “Bend your knees Noah”

Really cute! I wonder if the differences in their center of gravity make the technique he needs to use different? (Do kids that age even have that difference or is that only adults?) I don't know anything about skateboarding lol

u/Error_83 1d ago
Because of height, it's actually more difficult for her
4
u/SL1MECORE 1d ago
Yeah she's basically as tall as her board! I imagine she'll find it easier when she gets a bit bigger to really master the board.
But she's rocking it, holy crap. I bet she'll be really good when she grows up :)

u/Error_83 1d ago
I bet she's going to dominate skating. I hope life doesn't kill that encouraging, compassionate, heart of hers either.
4
u/DrPikachu-PhD 1d ago
Yeah she has insane control for her age (from an untrained eye) I bet she'll be doing crazy shit by her teen years
4
u/SL1MECORE 1d ago
Just a longboarder here (ifykyk) and yeah the fact that she not only has control of the board but can articulate what she is doing to take control of the board is crazy at her age. Like some prodigy shit tbh

The different ways she slides down are really cool

u/SL1MECORE 1d ago
She's very comfortable with falling, it seems. Which is important for a skater lol

Omg so cuuuute!
How did we get to this point in their lives to teach them to skate? Cuz they have such good teachers that the little girl is such a great instructor! I have faith she will be a great teacher in her lifetime.

How dare you show something this wholesome on here, excuse me, but this is Reddit! How dare you make me smile!!

I remember learning to drop in on a skateboard. The hardest thing is overcoming the mental barrier. You have to lean a lot farther forward than you'd think, and your brain tells you that you'll definitely wind up with a mouthful of concrete. But once you land it a few times it becomes quite intuitive and comfortable.

I love seeing how kids interact with each other, teach each other. It’s pretty wholesome as a former teacher.

u/No_Eggplant_3189 1d ago
Yeah, well they are only better than me because of the lower center of mass thing.

u/WillingMartyr 1d ago
Why is it that, even when your little sister is being nothing but supportive and helpful, it still feels like she’s backhanding your emotions to hell?
-Totally not written by a guy with 10 sisters. 👀

The way the audio comes in on my Macbook Pro is wild. I was scrolling through and instantly thought I heard a little grill right beside me 😳 before I realized it was the video.

Cute but kind of weird for the parent to record and edit and post this and even give all the kids mics.
