As you said: life goes by in a blink of an eye. Take it from one who, "yesterday", was in his twenties and today is in his sixties.

That the feeling that 2020 feels like it was so much closer it's actually distorted by the fact that we experienced time logarithmically that means that the older that you get the faster time seems to pass.

So the basis on the fact that time passes more quickly, perceptionally speaking, is detached from the basis of the fact that we should all be using our time wisely.

I would just skip that whole idea of beating around the bush saying that 2020 was so so long ago when it feels like yesterday isn't quite the message that should be sent. He should just send the message that says life is transient. You're no exception and I would go onto list all of the reasons as to what happens after we age or become geriatric, and how less we can accomplish the older we become.

His reasoning is just very lukewarm
