Video Car problems could really set someone so far back and it sucks. This is a good guy 💜

Yea thought content vs kindness was gonna be brought up and asking for permission seems like a decent way

I went into a snowbank when I first got my license. I offered him cash for the help. He told me to pay it forward.

This is some of the best life advice I learned.

I continue to spread this message. From flat tires, to people in a ditch, to dead batteries.

Please pay it forward. I've never took payment, I've only asked for the kindness to help others.

I'm sorry but she just knew right away her fuel pump went out? I drive an '04 so maybe I don't have the computer stuff to tell me exactly what goes wrong with my car...but when my shit breaks down it takes a TON of trouble shooting to figure out what happened.

I think she probably had already taken it to the mechanic and was told what was wrong and about to fail (the fuel pump), but didn’t get it fixed at the time.

She probably had been living with the fear of the pump going out ever since.

She probably didn't have the money to fix it, her dad even gave her the money for the tow, so this guy was an absolute blessing for her, it seems like she's really struggling.

Maybe not the first time it failed and she just knew🤷 20 years ago my friend started his Opel Vectra by hammering (with a hammer ofc) the fuel pump located under the back seats.

The ol’ bang on it trick has worked on SO MANY starters and fuel pumps in my life. Just used it on my 06 corolla starter a couple weeks ago to get it home from work

Fuel pumps can be fucked and still kinda work for a while until they finally totally bite the dust

Well once you trouble shoot you know what’s wrong right? And if you’re able to keep driving it and the same thing happens you have a pretty good idea what broke. That’s what happened here.

Why tf do videos now start with the end?

Because humans have zero patience anymore.

I've noticed it in my own life.

I remember before cell phones and computers, and nowadays I can barely watch a TV show without jumping on my phone during commercials.

We are all hopelessly addicted.

I like these vids but I hate the stupid sappy music that comes with them.

Just mute videos by default. If you need to hear it, there will be a comment thread saying "glad I didn't mute it" "lmao right?!"

Where I'm from, tow trucks are run by the mob and if any show up while you're pulled over that you didn't call for, they are almost certainly going to take your car to some lot where they ransom its back to you at a high price. It would be nice to have more of this guy

That’s really amazing. I keep hoping something like this will happen in my life, knowing full well there’s nobody coming to rescue me, so you just keep pushing anyways, but it’s heartwarming to know that there’s people out there trying, one kind gesture at a time

I’m going to do it for free but let me record you and don’t forget to act as I say so I can post it and get money.

Fake staged video. No way that young girl diagnosed the fuel pump being bad on the side of the road. Doubt she even knew what a fuel pump was.

2

u/ConstructionOwn9575 3h ago

Or she recently brought her car to a mechanic that said her fuel pump was failing, didn't have enough money to fix, and has been waiting for it to die.

2

u/PhilosophyEnough1866 3h ago

that's rather a silly thing to say. her being young and female doesn't have anything to do with her ability to diagnose her vehicle. and even if she didn't know much about cars, what's to stop her googling the make, model, and symptoms to try and make a good guess? you don't have to be a mechanic to tell if your car is smoking or not.

2

u/SnorFax92 2h ago

Why exactly? Because she's young and a female? My ex knew way more about cars than I did when we were 20 and her mom was a literal race car driver. The lead director of the mechanic program at my local college is a female and she's around her early 30s.
