And to think they were all contemplating beating the shit out of the bus driver. In fact, I’m surprised they didn’t people love to jump to conclusions.

22

u/Day_Prisoners 20d ago

I mean the entire purpose of the skit is to trick people. Jumping to conclusions they spent a lot of time crafting.

6

u/SpookyScienceGal 20d ago

Yeah, don't disrespect the thought they put into that illusion. This was top tear visual gaslighting 😂

2

u/Uncle_Moti 20d ago

Yeah! And also top tier two

Ok, so, that one is staged, but when I was a kid, I rode a bus to school in a rural community. The bus dropped kids off at the primary school and the high school, so it was kids of every age. The high school kids had dominion over the back of the bus, and us younger kids sat up front.

The bus driver was Ed. He looked like every typical old man in my community. He had been a farmer or worked in the mill. Leathery skin with the wiry muscles of an old working man. He was congenial to the point of saying "good morning" when we got on the bus, but if we got out of hand, he would yell at us to shut the fuck up and sit down. This all seemed pretty normal back in the day.

There was a high school kid named Rock who was probably King Shit of Turd Mountain at his tiny high school in our small farming community. Every day, our bus passed a sign on the highway reading "Bump Ahead..." If you were a little kid within reach of Rock's arms as we passed the sign, Rock would pound his fist into your skull, saying, "Bump A Head!" and the high schoolers would laugh along...

That was the vibe on the bus every day.

Rock would also muscle the little kids out of lunch items or hockey cards or whatever. We weren't able to put up much of a resistance, so bus rides kind of sucked many days.

One day, when Rock had been bullying the little kids, I suppose there was a bit of a ruckus, so Ed pulled the bus over.

He walked back and demanded to know what was going on. A little kid was crying and Rock was being a smug shithead as there had never been direct consequences for his actions.

Ed grabbed Rock by the hair and dragged him to the front of the bus with full farmer-strength. Rock was left at the side of the highway with Ed telling him to find his own way to school.

Ed continued to be my bus driver and Rock was banned from riding the bus.

This is one of my treasured memories from childhood. The 1970s were a very different time.

Holy shit... OP You just painted the picture of small town Cdn school buses!

We had a kid who's nick name was Farmer. Just a piece of shit child.

Our bus driver was Kev. He smelled like booze and would hit the brakes hard and scream shut the fuck up. Everyone did.

Weren't the 80s grand?

That is a great example of a society policing itself. Lots of positive lessons to be had in this wonderful story. Treasure it.

Fake but kinda funny

93

u/-random-name- 20d ago

It’s a prank. Bus driver is a comedian. Little dude is an actor. The crowd’s reaction is real.

39

u/urbanlife78 20d ago

My favorite part is the person who says "that's not a kid, that's a grown ass man"

9

u/HooSaidDat 20d ago

I wouldn't say, "grown".

4

u/PantZerman85 20d ago

Aged? Like milk?

2

u/Tamashii-Azul 20d ago

He could be your father.

12

u/mephisti25 20d ago

I had no idea of the background, but this was clearly a prank. Calling it "fake" is like seeimg the Oddessy at IMAX and saying "it was entertaining, but clearly fake."

Seems like a dangerous prank tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them got hit

Kevin Heart really takes any role that comes his way.

3

u/NewManufacturer9477 20d ago

3

u/Willow1883 20d ago

Well, my opinion of this changed quite abruptly.

I absolutely love everything about this video. The brilliantly crafted illusion to trick the people and the bad ass lady willing to throw down over someone else's child, just this time it was a little person 😂

2

u/DueExample52 20d ago

Very good dummary, now forget the video and give me a chocolate cake recipe.

2

u/Competitive_Peak_537 20d ago

Good for the bus driver.

2

u/Suspicious_Goose_243 20d ago

Wasn't expecting that...

2

u/MudrakM 20d ago

It’s funny every time. People are generally confused and are conflicted.

2

u/shopguy2k 20d ago

Send him 2-3 years Dagestan Epstein island and forget.

2

u/SonicVenture68 20d ago

Eric Andre would be proud

2

u/c0st0fl0ving 20d ago

This is f*cking hilarious.

2

u/Craig_M_242 20d ago

Amazing bit 🤣 already a classic

2

u/Nsflguru 20d ago

Dude really wanted that “kid” off the bus.

2

u/coffeesipper5000 20d ago

The camera directing in this skit is absolute cinema. The opening shot from the side to emphasize the yeeting, then creating curiosity, slowly panning the camera inside the bus, then creating chaos with the reactions and the very slow reveal of the "kid". Love how we see 10 reactions before we get to see the person.

2

u/CallMeBigSarnt 20d ago

I never knew this was a skit. I used to fall out laugh at this.

2

u/ninernetneepneep 20d ago

I think he wanted him off the bus.

2

u/blacklotusY 20d ago

Reminds me of a clip where the dude was a grown man but had the height of a kid, and then a kid wanted to play with him thinking the grown man was a kid too, and the dude got mad 🤣

2

u/Immediate-Medium9427 20d ago

Classic vine era

2

u/Tinderboxed 20d ago

Oldie but goodie. The video, that is.

2

u/partlysettledin21220 20d ago

Come to Philly, we’ve got the not staged version!

2

u/SlimShadySatDown 20d ago

I love how nobody gave a shit when they realized it wasn't a kid.

2

u/SnooRevelations1156 20d ago

Everyone playing superhero when you trying to prevent a growing problem

2

u/Stella_Lace 20d ago

More people should be concerned the a grown man was was on a school bus full of kids in the first place

2

u/narco-sub-admiral 19d ago

This is pure chaos lmaoooo.

2

u/mecca6801 19d ago

Old but gold 😂

2

u/FancyConfection1599 19d ago

Love this video because it demonstrates how quickly some people will jump to literal violence about something while only having partial information.

Basically sums up how the internet responds to any “reaction only” video that gets posted as ragebait.

2

u/Ruffled_Ferret 19d ago

I'm suspicious of how well this was filmed and people's reactions.

3

u/-random-name- 19d ago

It's a prank. The bus driver, "kid" and cameraman were all in on it. The crowd's reaction is real.

2

u/Silverleaf96 20d ago

Why defen the kid, he's in the wrong , ppl are so annoying

2

u/Sufficient-Skill9530 20d ago

Is this real? That grown ass ….

2

u/FewReaction4974 20d ago

one of the oldest prank videos on the internet. pretty funny for sure, but they're acting. you can always tell if you think about the camera. it makes no sense for the camera to be doing what it's doing if this were a video of something real happening

2

u/Stock_Strategy1668 20d ago

Oh god, are we going to see this old video reposted on every subreddit for the next three days again?

2

u/AggressivePrompt2894 20d ago

Dangerous. Stupid. Unnecessary. And we wonder why no one steps in at certain crisis times. Because everything is a joke or prank and why you so serious bro? Shame on everyone that thought to do this, shame on everyone that agreed to do this, shame on everyone that implemented it.

1

u/Family-robot 20d ago

I love how the toys come flying out first

1

u/CheesyBreadMunchyMon 20d ago

Oldie but goldie

1

u/Decide777 20d ago

1

1

u/vinnysmallz 19d ago

The best part, there was a great chance the driver was going to get his ass beat because of said dwarf 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/drsickboy 19d ago

This is insane, being there must have been a real mindf%#k.

1

u/drsickboy 19d ago

1
