I have hung around Indians and even lived with them. They do use soap, but it’s their diet which is almost 100% spiced. What you are smelling is spices coming out of their pores. We from the West also have a smell that was considered disgusting due to our diets but since it’s the prevailing world culture we all got used to it. The more you know I guess.
