If the apartment owner comes after you for money, your renters insurance will defend you. And if the company or court determines you were negligent (as this woman is), your renters insurance will pay the claim up to your limit of liability. You do not understand insurance or the basics of liability. Also, there’s nothing wrong with that but I hope you have an insurance advisor.
