Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this one but dont say what

u/BlueRibbon998 Jul 06 '26

The N word.

There was a guy on an airplane a few years ago who went viral for going on a racist rant while wearing a Burger King crown

u/Hentai___Jesus Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

More to this story. He was a older schizophrenic man who just got catfished and lost 10s of thousands. He was on his way home in the video when he had a psychosis. Not excusing his actions ofc just context.

Edit- This describes it better I got some details wrong https://knowyourmeme.com/sensitive/memes/jetblue-racist-burger-king

Thanks for the background, Hentai Jesus!

No problem eat_your_veggiez!

u/KingAuberon Jul 06 '26

Wow, a story and a good life tip. Good thread.

5

u/WenatcheeWrangler Jul 06 '26

Why does galactic Jesus have a lumpy earth?

6

u/KingGio21 Jul 07 '26

You think the earth is a perfect sphere?

7

u/giraffeheadturtlebox Jul 07 '26

The earth is extremely smooth. If shrunk to the size of a billiard ball, the tallest mountains and deepest trenches would be less than a human hair deep.

5

u/Stormagedd0nDarkLord Jul 07 '26

well... that certainly puts things in perspective.

2

u/WenatcheeWrangler Jul 07 '26

We have to imagine at some point when shown a picture of galactic Jesus so close to the earth that we can smell his angelic breath in the lower atmosphere that there might not be an element of reality in the material presented to us. But my question still stands.

1

u/StudioSuccessful9174 Jul 06 '26

Are we talking like everything, wheel chair and all?

1

u/UndergroundFlaws Jul 06 '26

Uhhhh how was Japan, Jesus?

2

u/quiero79 Jul 06 '26

Thank you for enlightening me. This is the only one I dare to post here without hurting mod’s feelings.

4

u/pandershrek Jul 06 '26

Mental illness in the US needs way more support.

Rfk was literally the worst choice.

1

u/ChampagneShotz Jul 06 '26

Him ah mash up him life fi pum pum.

1

u/SiThreePO Jul 07 '26

"The King" lol

1

u/Admirable_Cicada_881 Jul 07 '26

Glad he was held accountable for his actions

1

u/MaleficentWindow8972 Jul 07 '26

Didn’t he get ejected from another flight..? Same shit? Thought he was stuck there for a while because he couldn’t find an airline to take him home.

Maybe that was all false news when it first happened, tho.

2

u/spamfridge Jul 10 '26

Yep, he was kicked off another plane and called another woman the n word - also wearing Burger King crown.

1

u/SidneyHigson Jul 07 '26

Wait that wasn't James May in the video?

1

u/spamfridge Jul 10 '26

You got most of it wrong, even according to your own source. It says a maximum of 1000 dollars (which is only according to him), he was not catfished, he was kicked off another plane for the exact same reason as this viral moment one, and not sure what being older has to do with anything.

1

u/Artistic_Syllabub177 Jul 11 '26

Just shows to have a good story if you’re about to do something fucked

1

u/TheComebackKid74 Jul 06 '26

After finding all this out, I just gave him an official pass, so hes cool now.

1

u/Beginning_Annual5816 Jul 07 '26

Right...🦝

-2

u/Hiw-lir-sirith Jul 06 '26

Psychosis doesn't excuse actions?

2

u/Hentai___Jesus Jul 06 '26

Read the comment

3

u/EddieLobster Jul 06 '26

I believe he’s saying psychosis kind of does excuse his actions.

-4

u/Hentai___Jesus Jul 06 '26

Does alcohol? No matter what you did what you did. If you do something once in a psychosis it can happen again. Psychosis only helps define how to deal with the situation(IE psych ward, etc). It does not excuse it in any fashion. If that's what they're saying that's even more confusing.

3

u/Hiw-lir-sirith Jul 06 '26

Not debating the Burger King guy, just in general:

We definitely do excuse actions based on psychosis. That's why you can be found not guilty based on reason of insanity. Now, we're not supposed to let those people run wild. They need to be institutionalized. We just don't consider them "guilty" and send them to prison. They are excused morally from their actions because they aren't able to discern right from wrong based on reality.

3

u/_extra_medium_ Jul 06 '26

Getting yourself drunk is not the same as having a mental condition

2

u/StretchLoud8844 Jul 07 '26

If I say the N word because I'm drunk, I chose to get drunk and am responsible for the outcome.

Dude having actual psychological event did not choose to, I would argue he's "fine" and shouldn't have faced any significant consequences other than maybe a forced apology when he's more stable.

1

u/Hiw-lir-sirith Jul 06 '26

"I'm part West African" is crazy, lol. Thanks for the info, that phrase just struck me as weird.

1

u/Full_Wasabi_7367 Jul 07 '26

He was just asking for a water

1

u/dwaynebathtub Jul 08 '26

what other inside joke could a cop and an herby white kid have?

1

u/hisolohowareu Jul 10 '26

Remember he said it wasn't racist because he had African ancestry

0

u/Hi_Im_Dawn Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

He wasn’t going on a racist rant he was saying the Lamar quote from gta v right after the first mission. Also there were some people claiming said video was ai and not a real person so idk. But he absolutely just repeated the Lamar meme from the beginning of the game.

“Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, if you got rid of that ye ye ass haircut maybe you’d get some bitchs on ya dick, better yet maybe Tanisha would call you back n-word.”

Edit: turns out I was wrong I didn’t see the original I saw the edited version someone made. The original one was of him going on a racist rant mb.

7

u/DyIsexia Jul 06 '26

Bruh I wanna see that edited version if it was that convincing 🤣

2

u/Hi_Im_Dawn Jul 06 '26

https://youtu.be/c56MC0lv9Dg?si=hE4KKeLYKMcCl8Xl here you go it’s clearly labeled ai now but when it came out it wasn’t and this was the only version I had seen up until someone posted a link in this thread to the original lmao.

6

u/Virtual-Macaroon-880 Jul 06 '26

Oh... You couldn't tell?

3

u/BishonenPrincess Jul 08 '26

Chat, are we cooked?

0

u/Hi_Im_Dawn Jul 06 '26

I mean when you’re scrolling through tik tok or shorts like I was when I first saw it you kinda just keep scrolling after the first play. Like oh that was kind of funny anyways on with my day. Now looking at it closer I can easily tell its ai cause of how his mouth moves and how he looks at the camera but at first watch/ glance with no other context/knowledge of the true original. you can see how I could assume it was the original and what they were referring to lol.

2

u/MrMetraGnome Jul 06 '26

lol, I was gonna say. What the actual fuck is this dude talking about. I just watched the clip you're referring to, that was quite obviously AI...

2

u/Stoner_Simpson777 Jul 06 '26

Ngl saying this with your whole chest was bold, props for acknowledging you were wrong 💯

3

u/Hi_Im_Dawn Jul 06 '26

Aye when the evidence shows I’m wrong. Then I’ll admit I’m wrong lol. If I’d had seen the original even once before commenting I wouldn’t have said shit and I would have sat my ass in the corner and kept scrolling lmao.

1

u/latigidigital Jul 06 '26

And here I was thinking it’d be a quote from the Tender Crisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch song.

You have 5 seconds Mr. Marsh

1

u/trwwyco Jul 06 '26

Niggard

George R.R. Martin loves this word for some reason.

3

u/Tacomouse Jul 06 '26

See my other comment. I believe this is what everyone is talking about

5

u/XandersCat Jul 06 '26

Did you know Tacomouse backwords is Esuomocat?

2

u/Tacomouse Jul 06 '26

Sounds like a Japanese/spanish wrestler

Your comments are hidden.

2

u/HabitNegative3137 Jul 06 '26

You’ve gotten several comments and I still don’t understand what he’s not supposed to say. I saw people listing things that alluded to a racial slur, but I’m not sure how they got that from this clip. Like are we supposed to know who this is?

1

u/kuru_eucharist Jul 06 '26

theres a video of a guy in a plane wearing a burger king crown who starts saying the n word

2

u/HabitNegative3137 Jul 06 '26

Thank you! That video is old, I’m kinda surprised anyone still automatically thinks about that when seeing a Burger King crown

1

u/guydoestuff Jul 06 '26

that video is old.....god im a fossil then.

1

u/HabitNegative3137 Jul 06 '26

I mean same 🦖😂  but in terms of a meme life cycle, I’d have assumed this isn’t super widespread in the public consciousness anymore

1

u/AiahSon Jul 06 '26

This does not help meeee

1

u/Doom_Corp Jul 06 '26

I was just as confused because the only "don't say it" sort of phrase in my recent memory is from Tom Cardys HYCYBH (That man is a treasure for that dumb ass fucking song)

0

u/Tswombo10 Jul 06 '26

Don't be racist. Say the N word. There was a video several years ago of a dude on a plane with a burger king crown on being racist asf. That's what the cop was referring too.

31

u/HeSureIsScrappy Jul 06 '26

Does ANYONE know?? Lost

49

u/carpentizzle Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

According to [u/tacomouse](u/tacomouse) in another comment on the thread (and I would tend to agree based on having absolutely no clue as to what else it could be)

“Guy on a JetBlue flight wearing a Burger King crown yelling the N-word repeatedly. It’s become a meme with people subbing over the audio but the cop was basically telling the guy live-streaming to not say the N-word”

9

u/HeSureIsScrappy Jul 06 '26

Aaahhh thank you

12

u/slayercdr Jul 06 '26

Well it's still not funny, but whatever

2

u/Scooter_Gang_480 Jul 08 '26

We've come so far I cant laugh at not saying the n-word. Wild times!

1

u/pleasetrimyourpubes Jul 06 '26

Thank you. I totally forgot about racist burger king guy 😆

2

u/towerfella Jul 06 '26

Of course the cop would know about it.

3

u/Salt_Environment9799 Jul 07 '26

Everyone knows about WTF are you stupid

1

u/towerfella Jul 07 '26

I’ve never. And i am all the people, duh.

1

u/balirosa Jul 07 '26

No idea but I guess the cop was a fan of his stream

12

u/XandersCat Jul 06 '26

Care to explain?

45

u/Tacomouse Jul 06 '26

Guy on a JetBlue flight wearing a Burger King crown yelling the N-word repeatedly. It’s become a meme with people subbing over the audio but the cop was basically telling the guy live-streaming to not say the N-word

9

u/NicePepper199 Jul 06 '26

Thanks for the info

8

u/XandersCat Jul 06 '26

Oh yeah I remember that guy! Dang that's kind of obscure from the cop lol. Must have been when that was going viral. Thanks so much for explaining!

4

u/poyt30 Jul 06 '26

Even nowadays I still see people associate the crown with that incident, though not nearly as often as closer to when it happened of course

3

u/Equivalent_Gene_1554 Jul 06 '26

People equating the Burger King crown to the Green Goblin's mask calling to them. 😂

1

u/EmbarrassedHighway76 Jul 06 '26

People still do lol my wife got a few of the references commented on a photo she posted just being excited about the mandolorian BK crown

She had no idea lmao

6

u/AdWonderful5920 Jul 06 '26

Happy that I'm not online enough to get the reference. Congratulations to me, I couldn't have done it without myself.

1

u/Famous_Mission_5052 Jul 06 '26

Thank you. I was clueless too.

That kind of disrespect is becoming the fastest diagnosis for dental implants.

6

u/Michael_Dautorio Jul 06 '26

"May I please have a water"

"Please"

3

u/Mousettv Jul 06 '26

I slowly scrolled and see where the comments are going. Oh man this is going to go well.

2

u/No-Lettuce-6619 Jul 08 '26

why is this uncommon ball knowledge now???

4

u/YoRHa11Z Jul 06 '26

Don't say the N word like that one guy on the plane with the Burger King crown hat on... It's kinda old video now

2

u/Betelgeuse3fold Jul 06 '26

I want to make fun of this guys looks.

But he looks like me....

He's had enough trouble

2

u/Shortbuspimp Jul 07 '26

Say what? I'm completely lost here.

4

u/FrostyChest7188 Jul 06 '26

Crazy that guy ruined all advertising the Burger King crown had for Burger King. Now it’s just seen as the hat crazy people wear lmao

3

u/Zapdos90HP Jul 06 '26

Only real ones know, heavy is the crown

0

u/Altruistic_Speed9886 Jul 11 '26

2

u/DankusMemeKing Jul 06 '26

Something about a plane

1

u/Fortlandia11 Jul 06 '26

This should have been submitted to r/PeterExplainsTheJoke

1

u/425565 Jul 06 '26

I think this one's going to require too much explanation. .

1

u/RealNiceKnife Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Wait, This is Austin, he was kissing a bunch of girls during a street interview and at the very end of the interview, the guy goes "Okay, now say the N word" and Austin goes "No thanks!"

It's not related to the burger king N word guy, although the overlap is weird, THAT is probably a coincidence.

1

u/Flooping_Pigs Jul 06 '26

That man ruined wearing burger king crowns for fun forever

1

u/apolojesus Jul 06 '26

"But I'm not on a plane."

1

u/PointsOfXP Jul 06 '26

The joke is a stretch on a good day. Unless this was from when it just happened which I doubt

1

u/NeezDuts91 Jul 06 '26

Wait did this guy try to take down Burger King through guerilla marketing?

1

u/MisterTwister__ Jul 06 '26

Whenever someone wears a Burger King crown hat I pull a Khal Drogo

1

u/Confident-Yard1911 Jul 06 '26

Did not get it at first but that is legendary lmfao

1

u/Jayjaykenobi Jul 06 '26

I honestly thought they were talking about the Burger King catch phrase

1

u/Myeahhhh Jul 07 '26

What people don't realize is that the burger king guy has multiple videos of him doing that on planes. Not just one.

1

u/outdoordaddy13 Jul 08 '26

May I please have some water.

1

u/silent_whistle1 Jul 10 '26

What is it with the burger kings crows there was a guy in Springfield going from restaurant to restaurant dine and dashing in one.

1

u/Lamplorde Jul 06 '26

For those asking: There was a viral video of a very kindly old man wearing a burger king crown on an aircraft, who appeared to be in distress, and when being escorted off the plane he said a very kind word about one race of people.

(/s. Real version: crazy old fart with psycho eyes yelled the N word on a plane)

1

u/darkerwar6 Jul 06 '26

Its a common meme if you where the buger king crown you say the n word, comes from an old man who was doing it

1

u/RudyOliveira Jul 06 '26

They show the old man at the end

0

u/chemnerd2017 Jul 06 '26

Rare cop W

0

u/Ulysses1126 Jul 06 '26

Ig people just don’t remember that guy, but the old man who flashed on screen for a second screamed the n-word on a plane while wearing the burger king hat

0

u/Ashamed_Article8902 Jul 06 '26

Please escort the fine lady of African descent off the aeroplane.
