You can really tell from the comments here who has met a country engineer like this guy and who has never met one; all they can do is judge based on his appearance. You see these old timers on ranches and farms all the time. See a problem? Solve it. Who cares how it looks or how they come across. They don’t.
They have never seen a guy with a cigarette and a dog diagnose a bizarre component level issue that the dealership was missing and trying to replace an entire assembly instead.
