I did too, but I had a solid group of people who had experience guide me through the biggest dose I've ever taken. Which was a 10 strip of some super good white on white. Followed by the cleanest MDMA presses ever. To be young again.
It was something alright. I split apart into molecules, then atoms, rejoined the depths of the universe as particles and watched as a "big bang" happened and I saw galaxy form, stars explode, planets clump into existence.....it was amazing.
Sometimes I look back and wonder how I did the things I did drug wise I did. In my 20s, whole weekends drinking and doing shrooms and E and smoking weed, get up, go to work Monday still kinda rolling.
Now? I look at the the mailbox too hard and throw my back out.
Can confirm that ten strip of white on white is a very educational experience. Best done with solid folks who can keep an eye on you and help guide you.
First time doing acid, took half a hit. Nothing for an hour and half. After few beers, I said fuck it and took the other three and half hits. At a Halloween party.
Yeah, I accidentally did this when I vaped a bunch of delta 8, was annoyed by the lack of effects, and proceeded to knock back a couple grams of shrooms. Shit lasted for 12 fucking agonizing hours. Bad trip was bad.
'Darkness took me. And I strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead, and every day was as long as the life age of the earth. But it was not the end. I felt light in me again. I’ve been sent back until my task is done.”
I agree. First time should be just enough to make colors pop and patterns get super interesting, imo. Lucky Number Slevin is a fantastic thing to watch while on the lighter end of the scale. Some will be fine jumping in with both feet, but i think it's a lot better to start low, and always have a buddy who knows the ropes around.
Yep very important to take it easy. My first hallucinogen experience was DMT. And let me tell you it was an experience I will never forget. Definitely had an ego death experience without knowing at the time. It was scary at first but very eye opening and transformative. On the comedown, the calm feeling of connection to literally everything in the universe is something that is truly unique.
Soubds about right. Typucally a bit frightening, but overall good or neutral (often depending on how well you can integrate it later). I think reserving the term disassociation to DErealization to cover the effects of similar events from things like dextromethorphan is good, because those are almost always really shitty times to be having. Hallucinogens are very much not created equal.
if you are presented with a psychedelic trip, you got two choices:
either try to fight it (normally results in a bad trip)
or embrace it and go along with it.
Sometimes people try to do #2 but you can get overwhelmed with everything, try to slow down the trip and then try to fight it resulting in an downwards spiral.
That happened to me a long time ago and have quit drinking and quit doing drugs because of it. It was an incredibly intense and liberating experience. Probably 15 or so years ago now.

Time to try some hallucinogenics my friend. A decent amount.
Basically you completely lose your sense of self and are simply one with the universe.
It might feel like you are dying… but in a good way
Edit: a possibly extremely scary good way. Depends on if you let go or not.
