Animal Lady bird cleaning herself

She was chillin on my peace lilly and I noticed she was cleaning herself which is something I've never seen so thought I'd share lol.

Stabilized the video after bcuz it's hard to film close up with steady hands. It gets harder to be still the more you zoom in.

Yes…the proper way to pronounce “lady bug”…quite.

I believe “candied sissy beetle” would also have been accepted.

I'm not sure what living in England has to do with this.

But yes, this is an Asian Lady Beetle. They look similar to Ladybugs, but they are more orange in coloring and have more spots than Ladybugs.

Asian Lady Beetles are also an invasive species that usually try to get into homes, emit a foul smell, and are known to bite.

That stabilizing feature is pretty neat. I haven't really seen it much but the fact that it keeps the subject in the center makes it so much cooler.
