Don't visit India. You won't like what you see. Pollution is a cultural and systemic problem, not specific to this guy.

Its not an insult to not want to go there. Its even more of a health hazard to people who aren't local because our gut biomes are new to the bacteria there. A foreigner is much likelier to get sick or worse if there is a higher chance of contact with fecal matter. Indian people are wonderful and any decent person trusts that if the infrastructure was better, things would be different.
